  • "Very clean, comfortable, well equipped and peaceful cottage."

Only minor gripe is that it need a bigger coffee cafetière. The owner who lives close by is a lovely lady and she enjoys a good natter.

  • "We were at Waun Beddau for a week in late May early June and it was wonderful."

There were three additional days available and we booked those too! It is a spacious, comfortable, well appointed and very attractive cottage in a superb location. It is convenient for St. Davids and its surroundings and a 10 minute walk down a farm track takes you onto the stunning Pembrokeshire coastal path. The owner and her family are very helpful and friendly. This is a gem of a place. Highly recommended.

  • "Have recently come back from our holiday at Waun Beddau."

The cottage was an absolute delight. An excellent combination of traditional features and up to date facilities. We were especially impressed with the wet room. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. It is set in amazing countryside which is fabulously alive with birds and wildlife at this time of year. It was wonderfully restful and near enough to visit beaches and go hill walking and be touristy when we wanted. This was also our first holiday with our young dog. We managed to find enough places to take her, including Newgale beach, so that we didn’t feel limited. Our host Mrs Price was lovely and available if we needed her. All together an excellent holiday and I would highly recommend it. We have already booked again for next year.

  • "The cottage was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed."

Inside and outside was perfect - lovely gardens, every utensil you could need in the kitchen and a modern wetroom. A well thought out mix of old style charm and modern functionality. A quiet location, but in easy distance of shops and sights. Many places closed due to covid, but no problem, as we went for long coastal walks - scenery breathtaking and we saw seals in the bay. I can't praise Mrs Price and her family enough - what a lovely, friendly and interesting lady she is. We were made welcome and would definitely visit again

  • "The cottage was great, could not have wished for better for the 2 of us."

The wet room instead of the 2 bathrooms was a very pleasant surprise.

  • "The owner of the cottage who lived nearby welcomed us warmly and was there if we needed anything done."

In fact when a light bulb went her nephew was round within a few days to refit. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage, which was warm and very cosy even when the storms hit towards the end of the week.

Beds very comfortable .shame that so many local attractions were dog unfriendly ,which would affect our decision on returning

About the location

ST DAVIDS

Fishguard 15.5 miles; Pembroke 28.7 miles.

The city of St Davids is situated on the far south west coast of Wales. Granted city status by Queen Elizabeth II, it is the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral dating back to the 12th century and the ruins of the Bishop's Palace, both wonderful buildings to explore. Situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, St Davids is a delightful place with an array of unique shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs, surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery. Nearby Whitesands Bay is one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, and walkers will delight in the spectacular views from the coastal path which runs around the complete coastline of Pembrokeshire. Local buses will help with your walking plans, so that you can walk several stretches of the path with totally different landscapes and views each day. Dolphin spotting from land or from the many boat trips to local islands are a must, and are also perfect for enjoying the wonderful array of birds in their natural habitat. St Davids is the perfect holiday destination, whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing break, wonderful walking, a round of golf, an exploration of magnificent castles or fun-filled days at Oakwood Theme Park, farm parks and much more.
