  • "The only small problem we had was the stable door."

We loved the door but it was very difficult to open and close (just not fitted well).

  • "Picture does not show exactly where you are, not expecting lots of other cottages looking like housing estate before seeing any greenery."

cute little place withmost of what you needed but not enough mugs or cutlery, had to buy our own mugs as they were tiny. The place also smelt musty not fresh and not the cleanest place we have been and we are not over fussy. There worst thing was the settee,so uncomfortable after a busy day out I would at least sort that out!

  • "Firstly it was a lot smaller than it hsd looked in the pics on website, but this was not a big problem and we got used to it."

Also there were notices everywhere about dogs and keeping thrm on lead etc etc. Ours are very good off lead and we wouldnt dream off not clearing up after them when out whereas i saw others had not cleared up dog mess on the Grass in the mornings. Very annoying. The main thing however, was that we couldn't use the hob . We bought enough food for 3 or 4 days as didnt want to go out a lot and had found a lot of restaurants were fully booked, we rang sykes and spoke with a nice chap who said perhaps it was that we hadnt put pans on it first. We thought yes, might be, but tried this to no avail, then rang our daughter who said perhaps warming hands would help so did this and also set the clock, after my husband spoke to sykes again, but none of this made the hob usable we spent ages trying to work it on several dsys!,!! In the end gave up but had to get takeaway and go out. Im sure the hob is faulty,, We would definitely not stay in this property again. We have stayed in many many sykes cottages over the years and usually we really like them (we have stayed in 3 this year). The bed was small and mattress hard, and pillows just awful, i didnt sleep well at all. Also there were a lot of flies in there when we arrived, and all week. Notices about the water being very hot were serious, it was extremely hot, which might be unavoidable i accept. Good things were the location, near to lots of beaches, and it was quiet which was nice.

  • "Lovely Cottage."

Clean & Comfortable. Lovely swimming pool, Found some lovely places to visit in the area. Saundersfoot beach is stunning... Had a lovely lunch and look round the garden centre just over the road from the accommodation. All in all a nice restful holiday in a lovely cottage.

  • "We did not pick up on the fact that the swimming pool was accessible to several rental properties and only had notification the day before we left home to say how we booked the pool - this could only be done the day before we wanted to use it and we were told we would only probably have access to the pool every other day so that all guests had access, We had done the indemnity form weeks ago and were quite disappointed that we had further hoops to jump through to use this facility - register, be given a password and then book - a much simpler system could have been put in place or we could have been given more notice to set it up - when your packing and just happen to look at your last emails before you set off on a 6hr journey is not what you want you want to see in your in box."

Hence we didn't bother using there pool at all - very disappointing as that is why we chose that property. But apart from that the property was very clean and had everything and more than we needed, in a handy location and with a lovely garden centre across the road with a tea room which did a wonderful breakfast.

Very clean, well presented and perfectly equipped for a couple and brilliant that you could take your dog. Attractive site in a great location and the extras of a pool and sauna were a plus. No complaints at all and only wished we could have stayed longer. Would definitely book again.

  • "I am slightly concerned that none of the windows open."

In case of fire the only way out is the entrance in. If there is a fire near this entrance and you are in the bedroom there is no way out

Thank you for your feedback. The windows have a button on the handle which need depressing before the handle can be turned. The bedroom and lounge windows open , the kitchen is locked for security and health and safety as it opens onto the outside staircase. The flat is fitted with Heat and smoke alarms which are checked regularly. Regards Property Owner

  • "Lovely stay cottage so clean and well kept, and towels were fluffy."

Little extras like fresh milk and coffee tea left for us was a lovely touch. Also loo roll and hand wash provided too, and with sanitiser on the door step for Covid. Full range of cooking equipment even salt and pepper! The only one negative is that you can hear every noise from the Hayloft above the coach house, foot steps flushing of the toilet and running their bath. We did not mind this, but it did set our dogs off which was a bit stressful. Some sound proofing is needed as I noticed other reviews have mentioned this too. It was a lovely break and we didn’t mind the noise too much. I would recommend this cottage if you don’t bring dogs because of the noise above. Thank you for a lovely break Vanessa and Andy Whitehouse

We had brought our golf clubs to play a few time whilst away however there was a notice in the cottage stating that pets could not be left alone in the cottage, this was not advertised on the website or at the time of booking, this meant we were unable to play golf or go out for lunch/dinner without the dogs.

  • "Quaint cottage, in a lovely area, close to the seaside towns of Tenby, Saundersfoot and Manobier."

The amenities at the coach house were very good, and the cottage was warm in the unusual weather we are having this year. My wife enjoyed the swimming pool. The area of Pembrokeshire has many great beaches, we visited Littlehaven, Broadhaven, Nolton Haven, Newgale, and Tenby. The area has many historical sites and St Davids is a place to visit, smallest city in Europe, if you like pasties/pies try the "Oggie" it is very tasty and full of meat. We enjoyed the area very much. We also had a Sunday lunch at the local pub the Parsonage which we can highly recommend, and they allow well behaved dogs in the bar. St Florence is a very picturesque village and where the Cottage is situated at Ivy Towers is well looked after, I think we must add is that driving around Pembokeshire we never saw any potholes, which are a menace where we live. All in all it was a long drive from where we live 350 miles away but it was well worth the visit.

  • "Was a shame the pool only opened at 9am ."

.. we like to swim before breakfast and that meant most of the morning was gone if you waited until it was opened, etc. Appreciate this was probably out of Sykes's or the property owners hands though. A very minor point: there were only 3 mugs in the flat, which wasnt really enough, it meant you had to keep washing them up all the time.

Used the pool, crazy golf and table tennis. These were all good but the fitness room was disappointing. No problems opening door once you got used to it. The notice says inside - water very hot very true. All information leaflets are in the case under the TV. WiFI was pretty good. The garden centre across the road does great Sunday lunch and for fish & chips go to Kilgetty - worth the drive. We took our dog with us and getting to some beaches was "interesting" but we managed most days. The NT at Freshwater Bay West is amazing. Avoided Tenby because no parking for dog. The bed in the accomodation is a Hypnos as per Premier Inn and is wonderful. Could have done with 1 more sack for the bin. All in all a place I would recommend for families and couples.

  • "Apart from the weather, we enjoyed our stay at The Coach House - but this was a winter holiday."

One matter to mention: the detail e-mails sent referred to the use of a key safe outside the front door, The key safe was not in use - the system has been overtaken by the use of a coded lock on the actual front door. When the code is entered, the email wording should include that the lower door handle should be turned at the same time.to facilitate entry. This was not made clear. . Turning both together ensures that the door can be opened. The occupants of the apartment above (The Hayloft) had the same difficulty as us when they arrived in gaining entry
