Step down towards the cottage and enter the porch area where you have plenty of space to kick off your muddy boots after a long day of walking through the dramatic Wye Valley.
The living areas come on the first and second floors of The Mews House, the original wooden floorboards give off a real rustic, country cottage feel.
Take your pick of rooms to sit and relax at, with the main sitting room offering plenty of comfortable sofas and a FreeSat TV.
Alternatively there is the 'Map Room', with seating and a range of maps and information about the local area to help plan your next adventure.
This floor also boasts a classy family bathroom with a separate shower as well as a stylish, well-equipped kitchen/diner with plenty of seating for everybody to enjoy mealtimes together.
Head up to the second floor to get your much-needed rest, here you will find a charming twin room with a reclining sofa, there is also two alluring super king-size bedrooms, both these rooms can be set as two full size twin beds if required.

Outside you can enjoy outdoor living all year round under the large covered area, here you can relax and partake in some alfresco dinning or indulge yourself in the hot tub.
Just a short walk from the property is a well-respected food pub, the village is surrounded by incredible scenery.

The scattered, pretty village of Llanishen is set in the wonderful Wye Valley, an outstanding area of beauty. The village is home to a fine restaurant/pub, garage and lively Village Hall hosting a monthly breakfast and an array of events throughout the year. Llanishen has plenty to offer visitors to the area. This beautiful part of Wales offers wonderful walks in magnificent scenery all year round, and a variety of days out for the lovers of history with its array of fine castles, prehistoric caves, Iron Age hillforts and the Blaenavon Iron Works, to name but a few. The delights of Chepstow with its fine shopping and the even finer racecourse are close by as is the equally charming town of Monmouth. A peacefully enchanting visit to Tintern Abbey is a must, as is a round of golf at the Celtic Manor course where the Ryder Cup was held in 2011. All in all, there is something for everyone in this wonderful part of Wales and you will find it a perfect base all year round.
