“Gwylanod is a beautiful house well equiped with fantastic views very spacious perfect except for the very steep hill up to the property which we walked down to the village and it nearly finished us off getting back up,so I am afraid that this rather spoilt things as we would have liked to walk down to the bay and the shops and pubs and leave the car ,however it is a lovely area to explore but because of the hill we will not be going to Gwylanod again too steep for pensioners.”

The property

Set up on a hill overlooking Fishguard Bay in the village of Goodwick, this superbly presented, semi-detached cottage is the winner of an architectural design award in 2013.

Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, this North Pembrokeshire cottage is the perfect base for families and friends to explore this wonderful area of Wales.

Taking advantage of the far reaching sea and hill views from the sitting room and the balcony off one of the bedrooms, you will find this a most relaxing place to stay.

Large French doors between the sitting room and the kitchen/diner in this Goodwick cottage provide spacious open plan living, so spend time with your loved ones here or outside on the secluded rear patio, where you may wish to dine alfresco on sunny days.

With large windows throughout, three charming bedrooms and a first floor bathroom, a ground floor shower room completes the accommodation in this North Pembrokeshire cottage.

Visit the nearby sandy beaches along this magical coastline, of which the owners provide a photographic guide, including some secret hidden coves.

Explore countryside or coastal path walks and take trips to St. David’s, Britain’s smallest city, or even Ireland!

Spend time discovering the historic past of this quiet coastal area, where it is believed the Welsh women of the town overcame the invading French, all of which is displayed on the intricate tapestry displayed in Fishguard.

With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable.
