  • "All the negatives in previous reports are correct."

We returned home early, bringing our own rubbish, as the re cycling instructions were so complicated. Tenby is a lovely place, Gwylan not.

  • "Flat has everything you need but it’s basic."

We spent the first hour cleaning. Bed was awful, base was broke and foam mattress was very old. No insulation between upstairs flat and ground floor flat noise from upstairs was dreadful. When in the shower and the upstairs flat uses water the shower water gets very hot with no notice. It burns!! All furniture is tired / old and mismatched and run down. Both flats share same WiFi code and WiFi is in upstairs flat so if they switch of mains you loose signal. Sharing WiFi with other flat is extremely insecure Carpets are disgusting. It is summer and our quilt on the bed was 14.5 tog. We had to buy a 4.5 tog quilt. We could go on…….

  • "The apartment was well situated for the beach and town, it was spacious and well equipped, comfortable and clean and met our needs just right, parking was easy although not available at the property, the railway station is just below, and you can park all week there for £16 which we thought was reasonable, I would definitely stay there again if I was to holiday in Tenby in the future."

  • "The kitchen utensils need looking at, scissors blunt."

Table ware needs updating along with table lamps. Needs a makeover. On the positive, bright, spacious, nice patio doors to outside. Needs tidying up a bit. Good location. Recycling very confusing.

  • "It was a cosy, comfortable but spacious apartment."

There were a few problems which interfered slightly with the holiday though the maintenance man did react quite quickly. Half the curtain rail came off the front bay window in the first evening - not what you want, particularly when the apartment is ground floor and everyone can see in. The fluorsecent light went in the kitchen a day or two before leaving - the man came to change it but the following evening it didn't work either - maybe lose connections. Cooker and washing machine wouldn't work. Checked high up fuse box in the hall and 2-3 of our fuses had gone to "off" as well as about 1/2 dozen fuses in the upstairs apartment. I switched them back to 'on' while standing on a chair. The tenants upstairs did not realise there was a problem with their electricity because it was day time.

  • "We really enjoyed our holiday in this flat, and it was very good value for money."

Whilst we could not fault the flat for cleanliness we would say that maybe the time has come to replace the cooker and kettle with more up to date versions. Also if it is windy that plastic over the clothes dryer makes a terrific noise !! The situation was ideal and we heard no noise from the station if anyone should be concerned about that. If you have neighbours in the flat upstairs you will hear every last word (or cry if they are upset children)

  • "THE FLAT WAS CLEAN AND SPACIOUS FOR A COUPLE, IT WAS A VERY QUIET AREA TO SAY YOU CAN SEE THE TRAINS PULL IN AT THE STATION."

THERE IS NO PARKING SPACE FOR THIS FLAT BUT THE RAILWAY STATION CAR PARK IS ONLY A SHORT WALK AWAY. I PAID £16 FOR THE WEEK WHICH IS VERY REASONABLE FOR A SEASIDE RESORT. EACH DAY I WAS ABLE TO PARK IN THE END DISABLED BAY WHICH I COULD JUST ABOUT SEE FROM THE MAIN WINDOW IN THE FLAT. THERE ARE SEVERAL SECURITY CAMERA'S IN THE CAR PARK . MY WIFE AND I WOULD LOVE COME BACK TO THIS FLAT NEXT YEAR PERHAPS FOR TWO WEEKS.

  • "OVER TIME WE HAVE RENTED A LOT OF HOLIDAY PROPERTIES."

THIS WAS THE FIRST WITH YOUR COMPANY. UNFORTUNATELY IT DID NOT MATCH UP TO ANY OF OUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES. THE PROPERTY HAS POTENTIAL BUT WE FOUND IT DRAB AND JADED. THE HOUSE FILE REFLECTS OUR CONCERN.LITTLE INFORMATION AND NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE. FORTUNATELY WE HAPPENED TO MEET THE OWNER WHO GAVE VERBAL EXPLANATIONS , THE KITCHEN LIGHT WAS ON THE BLINK AND OFTEN DID NOT WORK. THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY KNOWN AS THERE WAS A READING LAMP ON THE WORK SURFACE. WE WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED BETTER QUALITY BED LINEN AND PILLOWS. BELOW WHAT WE ANTICIPATED

  • "We had a lovely holiday in Tenby with our 18 month old."

The property was ok but it was listed as a 4 star property and it was not up to Skyes cottages usual 4 star standard. The apartment needed updating and felt damp, which made our clothes etc. smell damp. The location of the property is excellent as we enjoyed many short walks into the town centre and sea front.

  • "We couldn't fault the apartment, after a long journey, it was spacious, bright and welcoming."

Everything we needed was supplied. We arrived late on Saturday dropped off our things and headed for the nearest chippy. The first night in the apartment went without incident, we slept like a log the bed was so comfy. Then at 7 am we were awakened rather abruptly by the family upstairs, the elder child was running and screaming across the room above and the younger child was crying rather loudly, the adults were also heavy footed overhead, this lasted until we went out or on the odd occasion they went out first. We decided to give them the benefit of it being first day, but the same happened every morning except Thursday when it was 6.15 am when family started their day. It was the same whenever they returned late afternoon, running screaming crying. Needless to say we didn't spend as much time in the lovely apartment that we had rented, as much as we would have liked. We even left a day early. It would have be much better if there was some soundproofing put in or even a warning that there may be disruption due to renters upstairs.

  • "During our stay we where able to park directly outside the flat, priority is given to the upstairs flat, but this was empty during our stay."

If we had to park in the station car park it wouldn't have been a problem, as it is so close. We where worried that we might get a bit of noise from the station but you wouldn't know it was there. The flat is a little dated, as it's the beginning of the season we would have expected it to have had a lick of paint to freshen it up, and the outside cleaned and tidied, it has mismatched furniture, but saying all that, don't let that put you off, we did find it very spacious, comfortable and homely, the bed is king size, again we found it very comfortable. The kitchen is large enough, with all the utensils to cook a meal if you require, there is also a washing machine, iron with a table top ironing board, There is a little court yard off the kitchen, it is in the sun in the mornings, in the shade in the afternoons, The flats location is in a quieter area, only a 10 minute walk to town and harbour. 9/10 Tenby has lovely beaches, South beach is huge, it took us about 2 hours to walk the whole length and back again. There are plenty of places to eat in the town, from cafés to high quality restaurants, Plenty of places to visit in and around Tenby, worth a visit to Saundersfoot,10 minute drive from Tenby, Caldey Island, (before you buy a ticket check to see where you need to board, as we had to walk across the beach to get to the flatform, wheelchairs will struggle with this as it is about 100 yards) and Pembroke Castle, we went on the free guided tour with Pauline, she told the story of Pembroke castle very well.
