  • "This is a well appointed cottage in a beautiful location."

For us, the proximity to the Pembrokeshire coastal path attracted us initially and we were not disappointed. We spent a couple of days exploring the immediate area on foot. We had picked up provisions on our way to Trefasser, and supplemented these in Fishguard a few days later. We were very comfortable in the cottage and it gave us the perfect chance to unwind and refresh - a great short break. Thank you.

  • "Just after we arrived the owner Cath introduced herself and the very friendly dogs."

The house was nice and comfortable, almost everything you could need. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds. No sharp knife but that is normal for holiday let! If there was a full house you might run out of plates, but as there was only two it was no problem. Found one pan and spoon not washed in the cupboard. A few of the light bulbs need replacing. Jets on the bath not working, and 2 Tv remotes missing, my friend changed bedrooms to the twin as she was able to change channels manually, so upstairs double bedroom wasn't used. Would have liked information about the house, flying the washing machine, cooker and altering the underfloor heating and what to do with rubbish.

  • "Situated in a farm courtyard this characterful stable conversion is refurbished really well."

We loved the variety of boxer dogs that came to say hello. The double bed downstairs is super comfy. The upstairs bed is firm if you prefer one like that. It has everything you need and we particularly loved the Aga oven. The sunsets from Pwllderi, a short walk from the cottage, are not to be missed. Thanks for a super break!

  • "We have had a lovely week."

Kathy is a wonderful host, and Old Spot Cottage is a lovely property with all the finishing touches and everything you could need for your holiday. Highly recommend. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, plenty of bath and hand towels are provided, and there is soap in the bathrooms. The bath is a fabulous treat! The kitchen is modern and well equipped. A great base to explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coast from.

  • "We had an enjoyable stay and came to know Kathy, the owner quite well."

There were several minor issues which we pointed out to Kathy along with suggestions to improve the existing facilities - with which she agreed. The main points concern Sykes advance publicity - Because of the photos and description online, we were expecting a location with views of the countryside from the cottage door and windows, but that was not possible because of its location on one side of the farmyard, but and with other cottages in direct proximity, blocking the view and also a semi derelict area of buildings immediately next to the cottage. All four of us agreed your photos were deceptive and not enough attention give to the details. The utility area and second shower/toilet - down slate steps - was difficult for the two older members of our party to negotiate. The immediate vicinity of the cottage and farm is exceptionally beautiful with the Pembroke Coastal Path passing 1/2 mile up the lane giving access to magnificent sea, cliff and coastal views. Fortunately, we were blessed with glorious weather for the whole of our stay.

  • "Excellent accommodation, very spacious, clean and comfortable."

Just a very minor issue. on website, it was listed as WiFi but we were told when we asked that it was not working. Maybe worth just making that clear on website that currently there is no WiFi. It did not really matter much to us but someone may want to access internet even on holiday. Otherwise, probably the best accommodation of this type that we had stayed in. Thank you very Kathy and family.
