Digital controlled underfloor hearing throughout the main floor is very efficient. Fantastic kitchen , loved the whizzy magnet control on Neff hob and I really liked the Qooker boiling tap…in fact I might now get one. I did not use the steam oven but looked intriguing. Lots of very comfortable seating, great electric recliners. Enjoyed the outdoor seating area too. Great parking space. Even washing machine if you needed it. Everything was lovely and hosts Dave and Yvonne greeted us with a guided tour of facilities. Thanks for the generous welcome gifts too. Just outside Portsoy we soon got to know our way along the coast in both directions and different excursions every day. A big house (sleeps 8) so for our party of 3 very roomy and super comfortable. A lovely week and we were very lucky with dry bright weather.

We spent 2 fantastic weeks in this fabulous house eating and walking our way around this quiet and beautiful part of Scotland. Beautiful coastal walks from Cullen to Portknockie (fabulous chip shop you have to order from ask Dave). Walks from cullen to Sunnside beach (so secluded we had a wee pot of pasta to cook and had whole beach to ourselves) walk to FindlaterCastle. Circular walk round Duff house and walk from the house to Sandbeach then on the coastal path to Portsoy. Deffo visit Sutherlands of Portsoy for smoked salmon, ice cream in porstoy and Cullen, Lily's cafe for her cullen skink in Cullen, butchers in buckie, chinese in portsoy, chippie at portknockie. Be warned that you will get quickly used to all of the houses gadgets and am missing the quooker! thanks again Dave and Yvonne and hope to be back again.

The house is just a short stop away from Portsoy with some of the best ice cream were ever had. • "The property was excellent and the owners couldn't have been more helpful."

The only thing which wasn't clear when booking was that the main upstairs bedroom was open to the stairs and then through to the kitchen and living area. There was no way of closing off the bedroom from the rest of the house and no means of separating the living and sleeping areas. This meant that, if someone was in bed upstairs, they had no real privacy from the rest of the house.
