  • "We had a wonderful stay, such a privilege to stay in such an historic property with so much interesting history to learn about and explore."

Every window had a magical view. We absolutely loved the garden and beautiful views a across the fields and also enjoyed the playground in Dalinghoo. We slept very well in the beds and relaxed in the silent surroundings. The showers were hot and powerful. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

  • "We were looking for 2 houses close together suitable for teenagers, older people and dogs."

Robins Nest and The Carpenters Shop next door met all our needs and it was a privilege to stay in such a beautiful cottage dating back to 1541. We were worried that it might be too remote but Wickham Market and Woodbridge were a short drive and Woodbridge in particular had a wonderful selection of quality produce including Cromer crab, fresh samphire and excellent meat, veg and fruit. We enjoyed Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh and there were plenty of dog walks in the area. Robert was quick to respond to a minor boiler issue at Wheelwrights and has plans to update the bathrooms (although they were perfectly practical). He was also happy to share the history of this lovely cottage. We were very lucky with dry weather in an unusually wet July elsewhere in the country and could enjoy the garden and rural landscape views.

  • "We enjoyed our stay in the cottage but it appeared a bit tired inside."

There were cobwebs everywhere and the bedding really needs to be renewed. The door from lounge needs fixing as it is very difficult to open and to close ( fire exit?) The fire in lounge needs an ash box and instructions where to dispose of ash. Lovely area and the complex ideal for family gatherings.
