“Wagtail Lodge is an extremely relaxing place to stay.”

Furnished to a very high standard , lovely and warm and cosy. A quiet place easily within reach of some lovely beach side towns. We really enjoyed our week. Fabulous views from the upstairs kitchen window over the nearby countryside. My only slight disappointment was that the WiFi connection was not particularly strong which meant some days it was difficult to load information about places we were interested in visiting.

The property

A romantic dwelling tucked away on the outskirts of Laxfield, Wagtail Lodge is a beautifully presented property, featuring wooden beams, a light and open space, and classic style.

Sleeping two people, this holiday home is the perfect fit for a couple looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life, and get lost in the east England countryside.

Reverse level accommodation means you will find the welcoming king-size bedroom on the ground-floor, complete with a large en-suite bathroom that hosts a bath, separate walk-in shower, double basin, bidet and WC all fitted beautifully.

Upstairs offers a contemporary open-plan living space, echoing older architecture with exposed wooden beams on the ceiling, but bringing it back into the current day and age with the sleek and up-to-date fittings.

The kitchen area is well-equipped with appliances including a dishwasher, electric oven and hobs, and microwave for an excellent self-catering experience.

Prepare a romantic meal for two and serve it up on the dining table for some quality one-on-one time, as the last of the evening light pours through the velux windows creating a gorgeous atmosphere.

Move over to the sitting area and lounge on the plush sofa, or cuddle up on the loveseat in front of a film on the large 42” TV.

The on-site facilities at White House Lodge include a cinema room, a sauna and a gym, all ideal for when you want to stay close to home and have a relaxing, slow-pace day.

When you fancy venturing out for a day of wholesome fun head to Camel Park Oasis where you can take a ride on one of the friendly camels, or feed the delightful lemurs their lunch with the chance to meet several other animals.

South of the cottage, find Framlingham Castle, a 12th century citadel located on a mere, where you can enjoy magnificent surrounding views, and a range of exhibits and events throughout the year.

Wagtail Lodge will be the retreat you and your partner are waiting for, a perfect spot to relax.
