  • "What a lovely clean and welcoming property."

Well equipped, Mary even provided a fan at short notice given the weather was very hot. In general the location is quiet so sitting outside watching the housmartins and bats of an evening was a delight. Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are all within a half hour drive. Being aircraft enthusiasts the bases at Mildenhall, Lakenheath and the museum at Duxford are also close by. We would highly recommend this cottage and plan to visit ourselves again soon.

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. It was a pleasure to meet you all and we are so pleased you enjoyed your time in Bluebird Cottage. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future; the planes, bats and birds will still be flying for you! Property Owner

  • "A warm personal welcome from Mary and a thoughtful selection of goodies (including icecream in the freezer on the hottest day of the year!"

) were a lovely start to our holiday. The cottage is a delightful mix of character with modern amenities and proved extremely comfortable. 'Live' TV is only available on some channels via apps through a NOW TV box as there is no Freeview - probably not a problem for 'on demand' viewers but complicated for us oldies! This was an ideal base to visit the churches and villages of West Suffolk which feature in our family tree, and we would love to return to explore further. Thank you, Mary, for a great week.

It was lovely to meet you both and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your week at Bluebird Cottage. I'm sorry you had difficulty with NOW TV. I hope that the tv listing magazine I brought round was useful to identify programmes you wanted to watch on the online services. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Feed back is always appreciated. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Bluebird cottage!"

It is easy to find from the A14 and very well appointed with all the essentials and comfortable beds. Mary is extremely helpful and welcoming and made every effort to check that we had everything we needed (which was very welcome with 2 small children!). Fish and chips from nearby Barrow and a visit to Ickworth House are thoroughly recommended.

So glad you enjoyed your stay, it was lovely to meet you and look forward to seeing you again. Property Owner
