  • "We chose Rose Cottage because we have stayed in Kirton before and knew of its location."

We found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It has a lovely large garden which, with the sunny weather we had, we made full use of. The welcome flowers and prosecco were a pleasant surprise. The cottage sits next to the village pub, The White Horse. This is a relatively quiet pub which did not disturb our stay whatsoever. The pub does an excellent, reasonably priced Sunday dinner. We will certainly look to stay at Rose Cottage when we next visit Kirton.

Thank you so much for the kind comments on our cottage, we are so pleased that you had a comfortable stay and enjoyed both our cottage and it's garden, and yes the Pub is a great asset to us in the village. We look forward to you staying with us again in the future. Property Owner

    Overall experience relaxing and peaceful.

Thank you for your comments they are noted, however the beds are no more than two years old so i am somewhat surprised that they were uncomfortable for you, so were sorry to hear this. we have never had anyone complain about wardrobe space before with the two sides of the wardrobes in the landing room, sorry this also caused you an issue. He enjoyed it and was unable to escape ! Please watch out for the headroom, as there are low beams. I wore a bump cap and got on fine. The pub next door does good food but is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Close to a good walk for the dog and easy reach of Woodbridge which is a nice town.

Pleased that you and Brody enjoyed the garden, sorry you had problems with the low beam but being a cottage over 100 years old it's fairly normal and it is warned in the summery on the details page. Hope it didn't spoil your short break too much. Property Owner

We found it well equipped for our needs and did not make use of some of the gadgets in the kitchen. The fridge is a little small, but it suits the kitchen. All slept well in the very comfy beds but cheering sparrows early in the morning were not appreciated! If you are tall, this cottage is not recommended unless you would like a few bumps to the head. Also the downstairs bathroom was awkward for those of us needing to use it in the middle of the night!
