Unfortunately, the weather was dire, continuous rain every day, but we managed to see and do all the things we had planned. We spent some pleasant evenings in the cottage, and lit the wood burner which was easy to do, (thank you to Andy and Hilary for providing the wood),and we enjoyed the cosy atmosphere the fire gave out. We also visited the Swan, the staff were very friendly and we had a very hearty meal there, and our dogs were welcome too. They settled very well to sleep while we ate, and were obviously feeling at home! The cottage was fully equipped for our needs, and we thoroughly enjoyed the time and experience to stay in a quintesically old english cottage which has been modernised tastefully in keeping with today's expectations such as heating, and kitchen appliances. The large garden was perfect for our dogs, and is kept beautifully, a pleasure to see and walk around in between heavy downpours! We will be booking again in the near future, and hope that the weather will be kinder to us next time to give us the opportunity to visit more areas that we didn't have time for this year.

The property
