    The cottage is lovely and was much more spacious and comfortable than we expected. The garden was perfect for the dogs and the kitchen was well equipped. Saxmundham has everything you need in regards to shops and take aways, parks for our 4 year old and the dogs. Perfect location for days out, we had some great trips to Dunwich, Leiston woods, Sizewell, southwold, pleasurewood hills and snape. We needed to stay 2 weeks really! We will definitely rent this cottage again. The parking is tigh t, but our large 4x4 still fitted, and getting someone to watch you reverse out onto the road solves all problems of getting out onto the road each day. 5* , highly recommend

To the outside, a patio area makes a wonderful setting to socialise, and a bench rests amongst the excellent greenery.

Why not wander out into the delights of Saxmundham, situated near to the coast, with art galleries, independent shops and a weekly market.

With Ipswich an easy drive south, and Norwich laying north, there’s so much to see.

All in all, this is an attractive property in a well cared for location.

Southwold 15 miles; Ipswich 22 miles; Lowestoft 25 miles.

Saxmundham is a small market town located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. The town is well serviced with independent shops, local museum, supermarkets and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market. Situated so close to the coast, Saxmundham is a great base for a seaside holiday; within easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, as well as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick, you could enjoy a different coastal location each day. Also close by is the inland market town Framlingham with beautiful historic architecture, a castle and an array of independent shops. South of the town there is the well known tourist destination of Sutton Hoo, an ancient Royal Anglo-Saxon burial site.
