    But is also has a great charm with lots of ornaments and cushions etc to make it feel more like a home than a holiday let. It is exceptionally clean and the kitchen is well equipped. the TV has a very wide range of freeview options. Bed linen and towels were new, fresh and clean. Its the sort of cottage we'd dream of living in. It is secluded and very peaceful. It is in a good central Suffolk location. The owners met and greeted us when we arrived and were very friendly. We'd certainly go back ...

Within the lovely village of Hitcham, nearby the village of Bildeston lies this well-presented stone cottage, detached and sat across from the owner's own home.

Enjoying its own garden and private parking, this property makes for a wonderful base for a small to medium family or group of friends looking to explore Suffolk.

Enter through the glass door and into the kitchen, where snug seating awaits for you to perch and take your boots off before continuing to explore further.

Cream units and wooden flooring offer the room a calm vibe, a great place to prepare a dish for your loved ones using the several useful appliances provided.

The living room/diner boasts a classic style and interior, sit on one of the sofas before the warming woodburning stove, with the owners kindly supplying all of the wood, you will be toasty warm even on those chilly winter evenings.

Across the tiled floor is the dining table, sat against the exposed beam walls and ceiling, you can see yourself taking pleasure in a family meal within this homely and traditional setting.

Also downstairs is one of the three bedrooms, a double bedroom which benefits from an en-suite shower room as well as French doors out to the garden, so you can wake up and throw back the curtains to let the morning light flood in before enjoying a refreshing shower.

Upstairs under the eaves you will discover the other two rooms, a modest but pretty single bedroom, and a spacious and relaxing super-king-size, this room boasts storage for your belongings and sloping ceilings adding to the building's classic style.

You can take advantage of the enclosed garden in summer and let your dog enjoy a run-around as you sit at the furniture taking in the day.

Venture out to Hitcham village shop if you need any supplies, or if it's a pub lunch and a pint go slightly further afield to Bildeston's gastro-pub The Crown for an occasion or just a holiday treat!

Walks can be found all around the area as well as in the two AONB’s, Suffolk Coast & Heaths and Dedham Vale.

For a livelier experience go to the county town of Ipswich and spend a day enjoying the shopping, choice of restaurants and the beautiful waterfront of the River Orwell.

Within the county of Suffolk lies Bildeston, a small village holding lots of history, situated north of the Dedham Vale AONB and south-east of the larger town of Bury St Edmunds.
