  • "A warm welcome on arrival, and a quiet, warm and comfortable place to spend a few days over Christmas, getting away from it all."

Delicious scones and mince pies waiting in the kitchen too, thank you very much! Plenty of space, especially as there were just the two of us, and big, fluffy, sweet-smelling towels to use after the excellent shower/bath. The mattress was rather firm, but didn’t stop us from sleeping well. Far-ranging views over fields to the front and the back, and a large lawned garden to one side where we saw squirrels and pheasants, plus a woodpecker. Note that the living room chairs showing in the photos have been replaced with two sofas (a two seater and a three seater), so there’s ample seating, and there is a smart tv on which we were able to watch Netflix :-) All in all we were able to spend a very cosy and peaceful few days away from home, which was exactly what we were looking for.

Heating was full on but not really adaquate.

I am sorry but there is nothing I can do about the walk to the toilet. Regarding the heating. It is controlled by the box in the living room. If asked it is a case of pushing a button to raise the temperature. I would have happily done this. It is hard to know what to set it at as different people prefer different temperatures but could have been remedied quickly if asked. Property Owner

The bungalow is in a lovely peaceful setting and there are nice views over the surrounding countryside. We spent a very pleasant week there despite the weather which was cold and windy a lot of the time, but as we were visiting family some of the time this was not too important and we could look forward to returning to a cosy, warm holiday home at the end of the day.
