  • "Second time staying at Ubbeston Lodges, Cocky Hen was spacious for two and really well equipped."

    Well located to visit all the attractions on the Suffolk Coast and with the added bonus of a swim each day. We heard plenty of wildlife including an owl most evenings and goldcrests.

  • "Very comfortable, very well equipped, very high standard of finish and fittings, very very warm and cosy."

    Bottle of wine and shortbread much appreciated. A small bottle of milk would have been good as the nearest shop is about 3 miles away - luckily we brought some with us. The sound insulation is not as good as the thermal insulation and the neighbours (not the cows!) were quite noisy.

    A few minor observations: Sink tap needs descaling as it spits water in all directions Fly faeces needs cleaning off entrance door Coke bottle with unsavoury contents had been left by entrance door Yellow sofa is stained so I didn’t use it Fitted sheet for bed would be more comfortable than flat sheet Outdoor seating area needs some work - it’s currently no more than a concrete box Better instructions needed for what can/can’t be recycled in blue bin

    The superking bed in particular was so comfy!! Immaculate and very well equipped We had a wonderful stay very peaceful surroundings perfect location for getting out and about lots to do.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at your property very much ."

    We have been before but we stayed in the holy cow.but both properties would benefit from a proper wardrobe especially in the holy cow we had to buy some over door hooks to put on the wardrobe door as there was no hanging space. Apart from this little problem it was a lovely place to stay.

Ubbeston Lodges consists of four stylish interconnecting single storey lodges sleeping up to 12 guests set in rolling countryside in Ubbeson near Laxfield, Suffolk. These spacious lodges offer individual living, dining and outdoor spaces with use of an on-site private swimming pool and acres of land to explore including cattle. The lodges combine two 2-bedroom apartments with super-king and zip/link bedrooms and two studio-style super-king apartments ideal for larger groups or family gatherings. Halesworth 6.7 miles.

Laxfield is about half-way between the Suffolk market towns of Halesworth and Framlingham, just 40 minutes' drive from the coast at Southwold or Aldeburgh. Just off the main road, called The Street, lies the school and pre-school, the village hall and the Baptist chapel. In the centre, near the wonderful All Saints Church and the historic Guildhall are a thriving modern Co-op store and two charming pubs. Close by, Halesworth is full of character, with old buildings, a weekly market held on a Wednesday and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. The beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coastline features unspoilt heathlands and the RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve, whilst the delightful coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh are all within a short drive.
