    Plenty of garden space to play in and joy in watching the invading rabbits nibbling the grass. Very well situated in walberswick, very close to the sea, pub next door and just a walk to tea room, ice cream and shops. A really lovely stay.

The property

A beautiful countryside cottage, bursting with character and history, Old Valley Farm, resting in Walberswick, Suffolk is the ideal countryside holiday home for friends and families.

Park off-road and make yourself at home in this Grade II listed 17th Century farmhouse, where there is a wonderful sitting area with wooden roof beams and a bare brick fireplace housing a woodburning stove, adding a welcoming glow as you get cosy with a coffee and plan the day ahead of you.

The designated chef will be delighted by the amply fitted kitchen, where pale green contemporary furniture blends with the history of the building, noticeable in the traditional windows, and all guests can enjoy a heart-warming meal in the dining room, with French windows opening up onto a garden thriving with shrubs and a sitting area, perfect for dining alfresco.

The property offers five bedrooms, ranging from king-size rooms to bunk rooms, so you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to getting cosy for the night.

Outside there is a fantastic annex with a contemporary interior housing a king-size and bunk room, as well as a bathroom.

Walberswick is a beautiful seaside town with an abundance of countryside walks, including those along the River Blyth and the beautiful sandy Walberswick Beach, where you can enjoy a scenic stroll or even try out watersports and wild swimming whilst your four-legged companion runs about at the shoreline.

WALBERSWICK

Southwold 8 miles; Norwich 30 miles

A delightful coastal village set at the mouth of the River Blyth in the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve. This place is perfect for a chilled break by the sea. It offers a small range of delightful shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés to choose from. The nearest town is Southwold just a short trip over the River Blyth, it offers a good selection of amenities as well as a museum and a light house. The city of Norwich is also accessible and is well worth a visit. Walberswick is one of the few places in the UK with very little light pollution.
