The property

A lovely detached property, in a peaceful location in the village of Shalford, within the Surrey Hills AONB.

Broadford Barn is a charming, detached property, close to a village pub and local amenities, ideal for a couple or small group of walkers and cyclists wanting to explore the picturesque Surrey countryside.

The gravel driveway provides parking for one car, and you can enter the property via one step up into the contemporary and cosy open-plan living room.

The sitting room offers a corner sofa that can be transformed into a sofa bed for an additional two guests, with a wall-mounted TV for entertainment, while the newly fitted kitchen is fully equipped with all of the appliances you need for a self-catering holiday, as well as a Nespresso machine for that morning caffeine boost, while the dining table is the ideal spot for enjoying a home-cooked meal together.

The newly fitted bathroom offers a shower over bath and a heated towel rail for added comfort, where you can get ready for each day, while upstairs you will find the king-size double bedroom, beneath a sloping ceiling, with lovely Velux windows, a dressing table and chaise longue.

The property is by the River Wey, along with the Shalford Trail, both of which offer scenic walking or cycling routes, while the local pub and grocery store are within walking distance.

Shalford is on the fringes of the Surrey Hills AONB, which offers incredible walking and cycling trails through picturesque countryside, as well as attractions you can visit, including Leith Hill Place, a hilltop 18th century Gothic tower, Holmbury Hill lookout point, Polesden Lacey country house, Broadwood's Tower and the peak of Box Hill, which offers sweeping countryside views.

The town of Guildford is just two miles away, with its castle and tower, which boasts panoramic views, as well as a hilltop cathedral, a museum of local history and plenty of adventure-filled attractions, from a trampoline park, to ski slope, to a zip line.

There are a selection of golf courses and parks close by, as well as Newlands Corner nature reserve, the meadows and woodland of Chantry Wood and the National Trust-owned Hatchlands Park.

Explore the natural beauty of the South Downs National Park, with dramatic chalk cliff-lined coastline and the enchanting woodland of the National Trust's Winkworth Arboretum.
