  • "This was a great place to stay, only complaint was the boiler."

It does get a bit noisy, apart from that, the plac was spot on.

  • "Lovely property, we were a little surprised that the location was in the middle of a housing estate, and close to a railway line."

We found the en suite shower base very slippery so we purchased a shower mat which we left for future guests, a grab handle would also be useful. Toilet roll holders would be a good addition too. Waste baskets in bedrooms would be useful. These observations are constructive in nature. We loved the property and would most certainly return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • "We rented this property as a base so that we could get together with our children and grandchildren."

What a fantastic find, it was perfect for our needs. The owner and Liz from the cleaning / property management company (JJ cleaning and Property Maintenance, Eastbourne) were both really helpful and did everything to ensure our stay was perfect. We would not hesitate to use this property again if the need arises.

  • "A beautiful house clean and well equipped."

The glass roof over the extension in the living area was a major problem to us in the hot weather. We were grateful to the owner for bringing in a fan halfway through our stay but it was only partly the answer, such a shame. Problems with the keysafe and availability of the key to gain entry on arrival got us off to a poor start, then a wobbly loo seat in the main bathroom almost caused a nasty accident. Finally a plumber making an unscheduled call to do a gas safety check were all niggles we could have done without. I think this would make a good Spring, Autumn or Winter getaway but Summer not so much!

  • "We had a lovely stay in Bexhill on Sea."

The house was very comfy and the beds were realy nice. There are few things we would like to mention. We had three toiletts but only one toilette brush. We bought two. The fridge was sticky. We fixed the lock on down stairs toilette door. The washingmashine makes a banging noise when it spins. Up stairs on first floor the toilette seat keeps slipping aside, and the twin bedroom door doesn't stay closed most of the times. We thought it would be better to mention incase no one else mentions it. We realy injoyed staying. The house is very warm and coesy. It would have been nice to have a few more garden chairs. The naighbourhood was lovely and quiet. Its a nice little walk under the railway bridge to the beach. We hope to be back soon.

  • "A good sized property that is very comfortable and generally well-equipped with good sized rooms A bit disappointing that there were no washing up squares, no vegetable peeler or welcome pack plus a few decoration issues with some walls and carpets looking a bit tired and dirty."

It is well situated for visiting National Trust properties and good walking along the shore to Bexhill, Hastings and Pevensy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in the property.

  • "A very comfortable stay."

Everything was there that we needed. At times the hot water was finished, if we all wanted a shower. Apart from that, a lovely spacious house in a nice area close to the beach.

  • "The house is within 10 mins walk of the seafront and 15 -q6 mins walk to the shops and the town."

It is very warm and light inside and is perfect in late September. It can be quite hot on a sunny day. The house is very clean in general. It can be further improved by adding some personal touch like individual pack tea bags and coffee.

The sofas and chairs were quite old but not a problem. A toilet was blocked on arrival but I received a call from maintenance within an hour of arrival and Plummer arrived prompt next morning. Good parking for 2 large cars and the location was perfect, 5 minutes walk to seafront with a long lovely walk along the promenade.Would highly recommended this property.

  • "The property is in need of some cooling fans."

It was very hot in the living room and bedrooms. The garden furniture definitely needs an upgrade (torn umbrella and poor garden seating) Had to report a blocked toilet on arrival and also had to hoover under the dining table (not been done) and also under the sofa seats (cereal and a used tissue found under there). Bed not zip and linked on arrival as requested so had to do this ourselves and dirty socks found under these beds. Broken window in the kitchen which had already been noted by the owner but not fixed all time we were there. Did not feel very safe as it would not shut properly and anyone could have broken in!!!! The property is very spacious however, and is in a nice quiet residential area close to the beach.

We always welcome suggestions for improving our guest's experience, thank you. We hope you found our response to the issues on arrival to be satisfactory. The window is fixed, however, our apologies as this was not possible during your week at the property. We hope you enjoyed your stay in beautiful Bexhill-on-Sea. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely weeks break at this property."

It was well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Once the path under the railway to the beachfront had been found the town facilities were a 15 minute walk one way along the promenade with cafes, restaurants and quirky museum. In the other direction was a lovely walk along beach and cliff (also a retail park with an excellent M&S!).

  • "This house was exactly as advertised, so we were very pleased."

It's a good centre for exploring the area, and has the added advantage of being 5 minutes' walk from the sea. We went to various towns round about and a couple of National Trust properties, as well as Battle Abbey (English Heritage).

All rooms were meticulously cleaned, beds comfortable and all normal facilities available. Access to the sea front is via a footpath under the railway and takes about five minutes to walk. A great base for exploring East Sussex and Kent.

  • "After the initial issue of being double booked, and the pain of having to wait two days to rebook an alternate property, things have worked out to our advantage."

The property ‘60 Galley Hill View’ is one of the most comfortable properties that we have stayed in. For two people we were ‘greedy’ to get somewhere so large, but it meant that in a modern property we had use of a large living room, and ample size kitchen with all of the facilities that we needed. Normally we would use one of the spare rooms to keep all of the bags, but as it had a large en suite master bedroom on the second floor, we did not need to do this. The feeling of space in this property was excellent. It may be different if there are more people staying there, but for us it was perfect. The garden is only small, with a table and small patio, we did not use it as we were not there for most of the day. The on site parking was fine for us, as we only had one medium size car, it could be a little tight if it was full with two larger cars. There was on site parking, easy access to the beach and town. Sussex is somewhere that we have always wished to go to, and it did not let us down. It has helped that the weather was on our side, and we spent most of the time out.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that you had an initial issue with a double booking but are glad you had a great stay. Property Owner
