“Large and airy apartment, only 5 min walk to beach and opposite a large park with lake.”
Shops and supermarket are 5 mins walk. Bus stops right outside the apartment and enables you to go to Hasting or Eastbourne, without the hassle of finding somewhere to park when you get there. Some previous holidaymakers have complained about noise from the floor above - we met the culprit, a very sweet little 2 year old girl called Florence; do try and meet her, you won't want to complain after having met her.

“Excellent accommodation in a great location within very easy walking distance of the town centre and the seafront.”- Mr Bricklebank, October 2018
“Noisy upstairs footsteps at times.”
Would appreciate a handle on bath. Some of the bed linen seemed a bit worn and stained.Towels well used.Light and airy rooms.Bottle of wine appreciated.- Mrs Chart, October 2018
“Good location near to seafront, shops, restaurants, train station and park.”
Also easy access to Hastings, Eastbourne, Rye and Brighton- Mr Loader, September 2018
“The apartment was excellent, two large bedrooms and spotless.”
Well positioned for the town centre. Very happy with apartment. However, there was no mention of an apartment above in the information. Unfortunately from 07:00 until late, daily, it sounded as if there were a herd of elephants living above, sleep not possible after 07:00, so not great when you are on holiday. Perhaps both apartments should invest in soundproofing.- Mrs Whiteley, September 2018
“Bowman' s Retreat is a lovely spacious apartment close to the shops and beach.”
Was very clean and welcoming.- Packham, July 2018
“Bowman's Retreat is a nice and clean apartment, located opposite a park.”
There are books, puzzles, wifi and games for the rainy days. Literally two steps from the frontdoor, there 's a bus stop to Eastborne or Hastings. So, we had a good time in Bexhill-On-Sea, our first trip in the UK!- Mr Gilmont, April 2018
“The accommodation was fine, perfect actually, however the constant running around of children upstairs was a nuisance.”
Even in the good weather there was no let off. It would have been nice to have a rest on days when we did not have to get up for work at the crack of dawn. Extremely good apart from that.- Mr Mowbray, April 2018
“The owner left Easter eggs for the children which I thought was so nice, hot cross buns and other goodies which we really appreciated.”
The apartment was really lovely and spotlessly clean, highly recommended- Mrs Hepburn, March 2018
“Great flat with quality furniture and all comforts.”
Location to Beach and Shops so close and easy to access within minutes. Buses to nearby resorts easy to get and ran regular. Bexhill-on-Sea was clean, pleasant and suitable for all ages.- Mr Davies, September 2017

About the location
Hastings 5.5 miles; Eastbourne 12.5 miles.
Sandwiched between Eastbourne and Hastings is the vibrant East Sussex coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea, with its traditional, two-mile promenade with deck chairs and beach huts. Bexhill-on-Sea is also home to the world-famous De La Warr Pavilion, which features excellent arts programmes throughout the year. There are many interesting shops, museums and town gardens, plus a motoring heritage centre, as the town was home to the first British motor race meeting. The town also offers excellent sporting opportunities, with good golfing, sea fishing, sailing, windsurfing, wind kiting available and for walkers, the 1066 Country Walk. Within easy travelling distance from Bexhill-on-Sea are the historic market towns of Hastings and Battle with its abbey. Battle is the famous site of the Norman conquest at the Battle of Hastings in 1066; there's an interpreted walk and museum etc which is great for a family day out. The maritime Cinque Port of Rye offers narrow cobbled streets filled with antique and independent shops and tea rooms, while boats pass along the river. A visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells is a must, boasting wonderful old buildings and excellent restaurants, tea rooms and shopping, and there are many National Trust and English Heritage properties within reach by car too. Whatever you do in this wonderful area, Bexhill-on-Sea is a lovely place to stay.
