Very clean and well set out. With all the amenities you could need. The owner Dan was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The enclosed garden was appreciated by our dog and the Normanhurst Estate just being a stones throw away. Great for his walks. The White Heart Inn next door is always very busy and you can see why as the food is excellent. There is a small shop very close by for any essentials you may need. Had a great two weeks . Thank you

It was lovely and warm, had a fantastic waterfall shower, a memory foam mattress, recliner sofa, large American fridge and sky tv in the sitting room and bedroom. What more could you need? Well, the cherry on top is the dog friendly pub next door with fabulous food and friendly service and a complimentary drink from the cottage/pub owner. There is a good local shop and post office 1 minute walk away for supplies and Bexhill-On-Sea, Eastbourne and Hastings are only a short drive away. Will definitely be back.

Just a couple of things stopped me giving full marks. Parking a little tight if you’ve an SUV, but suppose you could always use pub car park if necessary. Welcome and leaving instructions a little light in detail. Also shower was warm but would have been nice if it was a little warmer. Finally, just needed a couple of pint glasses

Danny and staff in the pub were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly and helpful. The food at the the White Hart was really good, with a nice varied menu with a great atmosphere and was obviously well patronised by locals and visitors alike, as it was always busy. I couldn't fault our stay and would happily return.

Even though it’s adjacent to the pub, it’s extremely quiet and private. In fact, the pub is an added bonus as it has an upmarket ambience serving good food by solicitous staff. There’s a well- stocked village shop nearby and a bus stop outside the pub. It’s in a excellence location for visiting Battle Abbey, Pevensey Castle and Herstmonceaux Castle and seaside destinations are only six miles away. Highly recommend White Hart Stable for an excellent stay.

Glad I took my own cafetière and coffee beans. Small double bed ideal for me as travelling alone. Garden needs tarting up. Recommend Monday curry night at the White Hart pub next door. The property is on the main road through to Hastings which did cause noise. Catsfield ideal for exploring the area. Some decent walks nearby. An enjoyable week.

  • "The property is a really lovely well equipped cottage with everything needed and very comfortable apart from the bed."

We found it small and would suggest it needs to be changed to a kingsize bed. The pub next door was really lovely, We were given a very warm welcome and we enjoyed all our meals except on the first night my husbands steak & Kideny pudding was served ice cold. This was soon put right. Curry night on Monday was a really good deal and great curry. The staff were all, without exception, very friendly and helpful. On the first night my husband reported the TV in the bedroom wasn't working because the aerial was missing plus the cooker hood was filthy. Neither of these was corrected. The shower attachment on the wall is loose and needs attention. I notice from other feedback the garden needs attention. We agree it is full of weeds and no flowers. My final comment would be that this lovely cottage is by a busy main road during the week and traffic noise woke us both around 6am. We read all the previous comments before we booked and this was not mentioned. Had it been mentioned I am afraid we would not have booked it,
