  • "The owners are lovely helpful people and i have never ever stayed at any property which was as pristine clean as karibu."

Lots of extras available (shower gel, sugar, tea, milk, cake etc etc etc) which is very useful to have at the start or end of your stay, before and after packing. Only small thing I would like to make clear is that parking is on the road near the property, although the owners were very helpful saying that I could park in the drive to pack up the car upon leaving. A delightful stay and I could not recommend it more highly.

  • "Ian and Sue where the perfect guest givers, always willing to help and giving good tips on anything you needed or wanted to know."

The Karibu was very clean and tidy and had all accessories needed to have a comfortable stay. Sue's homemade cookies are the Hammer. We also had a few visits from Sue's cat Milly(a little gem). The outside area is tidy and it's great to come back to after a day out and just sit and relax(and grill if you wish). Ian does a lot with helping children with woodworking (cutting the pieces privately in his garage) a high respect for this, and also keeping the outside area at home in shape and still had time for a conversation. On arrival there was Sekt in the fridge as a welcome (tops) and of course the homemade Cookies. The only thing which wasn't optimal (not Sue's or Ian's fault) was that the bed isn't really wide enough for two people if they are a bit larger in size, apart from this absolutely nothing to complain about well not really a complain more or less a suggestion for the future when the bed has to be replaced. Myself and my Wife would definitely suggest the Karibu. All the very best to Ian & Sue. From Alan and Karola.

Lovely extra touches on arrival of fresh milk, lemon cake and Prosecco. Will definitely love to return when next visiting the area.

  • "The property was very comfortable and in very good order."

There was easy and safe parking just along the road. It proved to be a very convenient base for us. It was just a short distance to the South Downs on foot and there are lots of places of interest nearby. The annexe contained everything we needed. Had the weather been just a bit warmer we could have taken advantage of the quiet and secluded outdoor space. It was ideal for the two of us.

You cannot fault the facility in anyway. Plus a great new feature is a Micro Pub within walking distance which is great as you do need a car for anything else other than walking over the South Downs.

  • "Our stay at this cute place was lovely."

Ian and Sue are sweet and helpful if need more information for visiting the area. They even left the cake and milk in the fridge for us, unfortunately we are vegans so we didn't touch it. Easy access to other places in Sussex and the navigation isn't complicated. The only thing I'd like to recommend will be in the yard could have a sensor light at the entrance when come back late. Couldn't see any thing other than that its great. Would recommend this place for sure. Thanks for adding the extra points for our holiday experience.

Thank you all for your kind comments about Karibu they are most appreciated. Regards Sue and Ian. As for the outside lighting, it does have a daylight sensor but we must make the instructions for its use more user friendly especially as the Autumn is upon us. Thanks for pointing the issue out. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we were delighted with the arrival pack - especially the cake and prosecco. The property is well located to visit local sites and the route in and out is easy to navigate with plenty of parking. The outside facilities would be excellent in summer. Could not ask for better hosts. The little gifts they left in the room were much appreciated. Nothing was too much bother, everything you ever needed was provided in the room. We had a brilliant nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable. It was lovely having a full size fridge, & real milk provided for us, not the small individual UHT milk you get in the large hotel chains. Would certainly go back.
