"We had a lovely time staying at cosy cottage whilst visiting family."
The house was warm and welcoming and the owners were very quick to respond to all my questions which was very much appreciated. The house is lovely and more spacious than we expected and was very clean. It’s in a great location to use as a base to visit places - close to beaches, walks and heritage sites, and Little Common is within walking distance and provides local shops as well as a small Tesco and pub. I can’t fault this place at all. And for what it offers, it’s great value for money. Thank you for a lovely stay- we hope to be back soon,

"Lovely, well maintained cottage."
A lot of thought and care has gone into making it a home from home by the owners. Located on a fairly busy road that made parking and reversing out of the drive a little tricky, but all manageable. We had a fantastic time walking the coastal path from Hastings to Rye and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage to others.

"The property was even better than we expected from the photos, it was very clean, fresh and very comfortable."
Really liked all the little personal touches like quality soaps, plenty of fresh clean towels, tea towels etc. It was a great base for us to visit the De la Warr Pavillion, friends and explore both local NT places and a guided walk round Hastings old town, the sun even shone too !! We'll be back I'm sure !! Thank you Theresa and Pete

"Cosy cottage was a lovely base for exploring 1066 country!"
It was most certainly a cosy and relaxing home to come back to after a long days exploring! The cottage had everything we needed for a home from home, and we were greeted by a lovely card welcoming us, cake and to my husbands relief a pint of milk! Should we find ourselves back on the South Coast I would definitely come back!!
Hi Joanne and family we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us at Cosy Cottage and thankyou very much for taking the time in giving us a lovely review it is very much appreciated. warm regards Theresa and pete Property Owner
"Cosy Cottage is very aptly named."
It is clean and equipped with everything you might need ! My only comment would be about the road which seemed to be busy at all times, but you cannot change that !
Hi Kaye thank you very much for taking the time and giving us great feedback for Cosy Cottage it is so appreciated kind regards Theresa and Pete Property Owner

"I have stayed at Cosy cottage twice now - once over New year and more recently for a week in the summer."
Both times the cottage was just perfect and lived up to it’s name! I travelled with Three teenagers, Nana and dog and there was more than enough room and a perfect home from home. We found Cooden Bay as the best place for a walk and a swim - less busy than Bexhill or Hastings and we even spotted Sammy the resident seal. Lovely pubs nearby, The Denbigh was particularly friendly with delicious food and lovely outside space. Plenty of shops with a Tesco express a short drive and we were lucky to have a lovely neighbour stop and chat then pop back with some freshly laid eggs from his hens! We absolutely love it here - a car is needed and for dogs that need enclosed space you just need to be outside with them but the road in my opinion wasn’t a problem - plenty of lovely garden space as well as the house. Beautifully clean and a great space to eat in, cosy up after a day on the beach or exploring and watch films on the massive TV or a great base to visit the Sussex coast and country. Can’t wait to go back
Hi Leigh it was great to welcome you back to Cosy Cottage and thankyou for the glowing review. We are glad you have had a wonderful time and we look forward to welcoming you back to Cosy Cottage in the future.best wishes Theresa and Pete Property Owner
"The cottage is lovely, so well equipped and spotlessly clean."
The welcoming card and cakes were a lovely idea. Our only issue was the garden. We had chosen the cottage because dogs are welcome but sadly the garden is not secure and is open to the adjacent, fairly busy road. We therefore had to accompany the dog outside every time he needed to go out. Not good when it is pouring with rain, especially at 6.00am.
Good afternoon Jill thank you for taking the time to give us a review it is very much appreciated kind regards Theresa Property Owner
"Lovely base from which to explore East Sussex."
We had a very comfortable stay in Cosy Cottage, was a nice surprise to find 2 bathrooms in the property as the website description only says one. Just two things that stopped a 5 star rating: the garden(s) are not fenced in and the cottage is on a busy road so it's not safe to let dogs out unsupervised; there is parking for 2 cars but there is no dropped kerb so you need to drive onto/off very carefully or run the risk of damaging the skirt underneath the front of your car, as happened to mine. Despite this we had a very enjoyable week, and I would certainly book the cottage again if I was going to be in the area again.
Hi Diana a big thankyou to you for taking the time and writing a review for us about your holiday at Cosy cottage, we would love to welcome you back any time in the future kind regards Theresa and Pete Property Owner

"What a wonderful stay."
Theresa and Pete gave us a lovely card and cakes as a welcome gift. Every room in the house is beautifully decorated and furnished so comfortably. Pictures, flowers, ornaments, books, games, so many things that make your stay like being in your own home. The kitchen has all that you require for all types of cooking, dining, cleaning. The garden has several seating areas around it and little lights that add an extra element for the night time. A very well designed book gives all the information not just for staying in the property but places to visit, restaurants nearby, shops that might be needed and other details that are very helpful to visitors in a new area. They covered everything so meticulously. The whole stay was thoroughly enjoyable. We would highly recommend anyone wanting a really lovely place to spend a holiday in to go to the Cosy Cottage. It certainly lives up to its name. Thank you Theresa and Pete.

But also lovely home to stay indoors on a rainy day. We would definitely come back around summer time to also be able to enjoy the garden.

"The property lives up to its name, 'Cosy Cottage'."
This was short term emergency accommodation as we had to leave our home while we waited for a replacement gas boiler, so not really a holiday. However it was comfortable, well equipped and was just what we needed.
"Lovely house so warm and cosy in a great location."
Great facilities with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is a bit open but once bushes grow will be fine. Just meant we had to be with our dog when he went out. Would recommend this property and if we go to Sussex will look to book again.
"We had a very pleasant week at Cosy Cottage which had everything we wanted and needed to make our stay enjoyable."
The welcome pack was most thoughtful and useful, great choice. The lounge was very comfortable and the power chair was much fought over!! Bedrooms well furnished and comfortable. All in all a great find. Bexhill, Hastings, Eastbourne and Battle are all a short journey away and well worth a visit.
"The cottage was beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished."
It really is a comfortable and ‘cosy cottage’. I would strongly recommend.

About the location
Hastings 5.5 miles; Eastbourne 12.5 miles.
Sandwiched between Eastbourne and Hastings is the vibrant East Sussex coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea, with its traditional, two-mile promenade with deck chairs and beach huts. Bexhill-on-Sea is also home to the world-famous De La Warr Pavilion, which features excellent arts programmes throughout the year. There are many interesting shops, museums and town gardens, plus a motoring heritage centre, as the town was home to the first British motor race meeting. The town also offers excellent sporting opportunities, with good golfing, sea fishing, sailing, windsurfing, wind kiting available and for walkers, the 1066 Country Walk. Within easy travelling distance from Bexhill-on-Sea are the historic market towns of Hastings and Battle with its abbey. Battle is the famous site of the Norman conquest at the Battle of Hastings in 1066; there's an interpreted walk and museum etc which is great for a family day out. The maritime Cinque Port of Rye offers narrow cobbled streets filled with antique and independent shops and tea rooms, while boats pass along the river. A visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells is a must, boasting wonderful old buildings and excellent restaurants, tea rooms and shopping, and there are many National Trust and English Heritage properties within reach by car too. Whatever you do in this wonderful area, Bexhill-on-Sea is a lovely place to stay.
