  • "We loved the cottage and location, it was really peaceful."

A bonus for me where the buzzards and red kite flying over the cottage. Also saw a sea Eagle down the valley of raptors.

  • "This is a comfortable house which suited our family gathering with young children and 2 dogs."

It was clean and everything worked which was great. The crockery, cutlery, kitchen knives etc could do with an upgrade. The housekeeper Jeremy was helpful and pleasant. The views over the valley are lovely and the garden was well maintained. We read previous reviews and took the dogs but it is unsuitable for walks from the house unless dogs are on the lead as sheep, shooting and pheasant pens are nearby.

  • "Stunning location, great cottage."

A little tired in places, however this did not detract from a fabulous week and added that edge of character. All in all a great week gad by all, we all would certainly entertain coming back in the future for another stay. Thank you for your hospitality. Paul Bramley.

  • "We much enjoyed our week at Presse House and it was very comfortable."

.The only problem was the towel rail in the ensuite bathroom did not work, so damp towels was not good. Also when Charlotte said she had put the heating on, it did not work. Otherwise it was a good week.

  • "Lovely cottage with outstanding views."

Wildlife in abundance, beautiful sunsets and dark skies make this cottage a fantastic base for exploring the area. The house was comfortable with lots of space and was well equipped. We will definitely stay again.

  • "We had a great stay here - 6 adults, 3 year old, 6 week old and two dogs."

There is a track opposite the cottage that gave a great first day walk and views over the hills. The house is very big, great garden and views - bit warm when it was warm outside due to the Esse cooker, but nice to be able to sit outside. Easy for days out near Aviemore and Inverness. Findhorn valley of the raptors is another great walk (but keep that a secret).

  • "Where does one start."

.. Ive been hiring places from LHH over quite a few years and never been let down. The Press House is yet another outstanding property offered by LHH. It is a credit to both the owners and the LHH portfolio. It is set in a great part of the Highlands and quite how the owners managed to get a rainbow to begin and end at the bottom of the plot I have no idea. Would I use it again, most definitely. I am already planning another visit. I would recommend this premises to anyone wanting a superb Highland holiday. Regards, Peter Robdrup.

  • "The property is lovely and a testament to the owners."

The house is very peaceful with an amazing view. Jeremy the property manager was flexible and very helpful. I would stay here again, but I found the agency (Sykes) very unorganised with providing me with incorrect information about a previous caretaker and only by me calling them, was I informed of the new caretaker. This should have been handled better.

A traditional country home. Our host was very generous and flexible when a family illness upset our travel timings. I’d happily stay in the Press House forever.

  • "We had a wonderful time at this very homely home…."

The house was large enough to give everyone space, very well equipped and logs were provided for the fire which was so kind of the owners. Stunning views, amazing wildlife, wonderful, mostly natural and wild garden which we all loved including our hairy daughter Cassie. What a fabulous destination. Would highly recommend and hope to come back and stay again. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Any issues we had when in the home were addressed immediately. So thank you all once again for looking after us so well and allowing us to stay in your gorgeous home. ( we were a mix of age 3 to 69 and all age groups loved it xxx

  • "Its a lovely old house in a great location."

Perfect for a family with dogs. The main issue was that the house was freezing cold when we arrived and remained cold for the whole of the first night. there were no instructions about the heating. The caretaker told us that it was in a timer and that the underfloor heating downstairs was broken !! But it wasn't and it warmed up after the heating had been on for 12 hours plus. With the heating on "continuous" the house was warm. There were a lot of other minor problems: a broken toilet seat downstairs, a warped door that would not close, problems opening and closing the wood burner doors, a broken kitchen drawer that would not open or close properly. The on stove coffee maker is missing a basket. There were no maps of the area and no visitor book to record issues. Once the heating was sorted we had a great stay and went walking every day with the dogs. Despite all this we would stay again!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry that you encountered issues with the heating initially, but glad it was up and running quickly. We have now resolved the other minor issues that you have brought to our attention. We're pleased to hear you had a great stay and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Please feel free to amend this, we would be grateful if you could confirm that you are happy for this to be published. Kind regards Property Owner

  • "Hi There, we were unable to get to the cottage the first night of our stay because the one road leading up to it was covered in snow and Ice, so both of our cars couldn't make it up the hill."

We then had to go book a different accommodation for that night. I was hoping we could get a refund for the one night we were unable to use the cottage due to weather. Other than that, the cottage was wonderful. Thank you so much and have a great day!
