  • "A lovely cosy and comfortable getaway!"

We had a fantastic time at Otters Holt! The cabin and farm were beautiful! Everything had been thought of and the cabin facilities were brilliant. The hosts were great and couldn’t do enough to welcome us. The local area offered lots of nice scenic walks and wildlife. We had a wonderful long weekend and hope to book again soon.

We are pleased you enjoyed your time with us and would like to thank you for your lovely feedback. You were the first guests in Otter's Holt so appreciate your comments. To note- you suggested that it would be useful to have means to cook a pizza. We have now supplied each lodge with a pizza maker/cooker. Best wishes for the new year. Property Owner

About the location

STAINDROP

Barnard Castle 5 miles; Durham 20 miles.

The pretty Teesdale village of Staindrop has always been closely associated with the fortunes of nearby Raby Castle and its owners. The Castle (open to the public) is one of the most grand in England. Enlarged and beautified over the centuries, the medieval heart remains and a walled garden and 200 acre deer park add to the splendour. Staindrop has many interesting shops, pubs and cafes set round its long village green. The popular market town of Barnard Castle is 5 miles away, with its castle, the Bowes Museum, plus of course its wide range of shops and tea rooms. Walkers will enjoy the many walks around Teesdale.
