Comments always positive and lessons learnt I think. Car parking space opposite accommodation very good Gainford only one pub to which we were not aware had not re opened due to Covid-19. Good contact with the owner well recommend, points to consider: no cupboard space in kitchen for tins/bread etc bit more cleaning perhaps, found an odd spiders web! a bit of noise traffic and also what I thought came from next door (shop) you do need a car to be honest to get around fish and chip shop good, it's a base to explore

Gainford is a pretty village in Teesdale, standing on the River Tees at the boundary with Yorkshire. The village offers a scattering of Georgian houses set on an unspoilt village green, as well as a newsagents/general store, fish and chip shop and a pub, and is close to spectacular waterfalls, sweeping moorlands and magnificent castles. There is also one Michelin starred restaurant within easy reach of the village, giving the opportunity to dine out in luxury.
