  • "We went to just chill, should have been in The Gambia, but as we all know the world has been a bit mad the last year and so."

So chill we did with the pooch, by the way pooch has never been so chilled in any cottage we’ve stayed at (she’s nearly 14 so has stayed at a few). Cottage was lovely, clean, maybe a bit warm at times as the heating is timed and can’t be turned off, but hey that’s personal opinion. Decking area was actually well situated, we managed a good few sit outs even in November even in the evening to star gaze. Plenty places to drive to if you want, it’s Yorkshire always plenty to do and see, locals so friendly, honesty box for eggs and jam, both highly recommended by the way.

We are so delighted that you and your pooch enjoyed your stay at Wren Cottage! It is wonderful to hear. We always hope that our guests have a lovely relaxing stay, and a great holiday in Yorkshire, and it sounded like you did. Thank you so much for leaving feedback for us. Property Owner

  • "Wren cottage is clean, warm, cosy and comfortable."

The kitchen is small but well equipped and has everything you need. The patio area is really lovely. Unfortunately there is nothing of interest in the village, with few opportunities for walking in the immediate area, but a short drive gets you to Leyburn and beyond, with lovely pubs, coffee shops and ample shopping, and last but not least amazing countryside and footpaths galore.

  • "The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery but nowhere to put food."

It would be better if the garden was attached to the cottage for dogs as you can't have the back door open for them to run in and out, you have to take them on the lead.

  • "My husband and I, plus one dog stayed for 3 nights."

House was compact, but cosy. Very well presented and facilities were good. We didn’t use the cooking facilities much, but there appeared to be everything you could possibly need. It was a nice surprise to see the dog treats and milk in the fridge. Patio area (which is slightly separate from the property behind a small out building and up a short, shared path) was lovely and when the sun was out even better! Very quiet village, so we ventured out every day and it was within a short drive to lots of walks, pubs and places of interest.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "A really lovely, well-appointed cottage, and excellent communication with the owner."

All within a stones-throw of beautiful Wensleydale.

  • "The owner was very helpful when we had a problem with technology."

There was welcome, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits downstairs and chocolate in the bedroom. It is a well looked after well appointed cottage with parking immediately in front.
