“Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in.”

Chapel End was spotlessly clean for our arrival and provided a perfect, homely, base for our 17 night stay. It was lovely to have a home from home for a while where the loudest sound in the sun trap of a garden was that of bird song and most of the time that was all we could hear. The cottage was well furnished and equipped. Everything we needed was provided. It was warm and had unlimited hot water for the two showers and bath. Mobile signal (Sky/O2) was weak but we always had a signal and with the excellent quality broadband keeping in touch was never a problem. Bellerby is a friendly village that is a perfect location for keen walkers. We found numerous walks straight from the door and Wensleydale and Swaledale, which are a few minutes away by car, both have seemingly unlimited options for walks long or short. On a more practical level, Leyburn has all you could want by way of shops and pubs but should the need arise there is a Tesco and Aldi 10 minutes away in Catterick. Add to this the countless other tourist attraction of the area and the endless options for Country pubs (including one in Bellerby) and it will not be long before we return!
