  • "Great stay, lodge was spotless on arrival and well equipped."

Welcome was friendly and helpful. Lovely views out over the hills from the living room and the hot tub! Pub in the village (Ancient Unicorn) was good for a drink and a 10-15 minute drive (or £15 taxi) to Barnard Castle. Good walking options from the lodge/village.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in Pheasant, thanks for the feedback. Property Owner

Had a great stay very quiet Could do with a recycling box at property so it's easier to recycle at the bins I think for two people it's great for the seating but for four people could of done with another sofa or two armchairs for comfort The hosts was very friendly and there to help this is a great property to just chill and relax and that's what we went for

Thank you for the feedback, points noted. 95% of the bookings are for two and we are going to change the occupancy level. As for a recycling box this is something we are going to add. Property Owner

Lost a full day in hot tub as it didn’t get upto heat so couldn’t get in tub till following day £220 per day what we did on first day we could of done at home I complained got £50 back wow thanks

Thank you for your feedback. The hot tub is water is changed after each stay. You came to stay in a log cabin with a hot tub not a hot tub with a cabin so your calculations are a bit off. I prefer to have the water changed and clean and this takes time to heat. Property Owner

The lodge was very clean, comfortable and peaceful with everything we needed for our stay. Views from the lodge are beautiful and some lovely walks nearby including part of the Pennine Way. Also, a good base for visiting a variety of places. It wasn't a problem to us but the Sykes listing states a shop nearby, but this is not the case as the shop and post office have closed down. There is a Morrisons and a Co-op in Castle Barnard just 4 miles away.
