  • "We all had a wonderful week at Auckland Cottage, notwithstanding the weather."

Cottage is spacious and comfortable, and the owner was friendly, and accessible if you needed him. The swimming pool was a real bonus on the several rainy days. Really enjoyable trip.

  • "We really enjoyed the facilities."

Cottage felt a bit. Cramped for 5 adults and 3 children in the living room. Would book a bigger cottage for the facilities.

  • "The house was lovely and clean and whilst basic it done the job."

The shower nearly burnt skin off when someone flushed the toilet so please be aware of this especially if you have children using the shower! The pool was a great added bonus the kids loved it and the private hot tub was really clean and perfect for relaxing! Lovely location and the views were amazing! Would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

  • "My family’s stay in the cottage was great."

It really did have everything needed. We all loved the swimming pool and sauna and used the hot tub a lot . Tony was very helpful and answered any questions we had. It was a lovely setting and away from the hustle and bustle of city life., although there were various towns not far away. I highly recommend to stay at this beautiful location. Oh and the snooker table was great too

  • "We thought it would be more private, a couple of times we couldn’t use the pool, which we weren’t aware about, not enough towels between 6 of us, 2 hand towels!"

Also we didn’t think we would be sharing with mice/voles that were living in the 2 seater sofa and lastly when we stripped the beds there were loads of holes in the duvet’s, apart from that we did enjoy the break away

  • "The cottage was lovely ."

Comfortable , clean and well equipped. The pool and hot tub were brilliant and well used by the family. The area is absolutely beautiful. We loved all the walks and exploring different places. And waking up to the fantastic view from our cottage was a joy and something special. Sad to have to leave.

  • "There was only 1 bathroom which is not enough for 11 sharing !"

The beds were very uncomfortable but it was a great setting and we had a lovely stay.

  • "We had a fantastic time."

Definately would stay again, maybe in the summer. Only one downside for us was that there was only one shower.

  • "We were unfortunate to visit the cottage at the time of a severe weather storm."

The cottage was lovely unfortunately due to the power loss we had to stay in a cold cottage the hot tub was not accessible until the last day of the weekend due to the lack of power. I accept this was no fault of the owner but I do feel we did not get what we paid for. I would like to stress had there not been a power loss it would have been a lovely weekend
