  • "Lovely holiday home which was warm & very comfortable."

The air fryer in the kitchen was an added bonus. We had an initial glitch with the heating & this was very promptly sorted by the owners. Very happy to recommend staying here.

Beds very comfy the new shower was OK but water tends to spray off the end and wet round the bottom of the toilet but that's a minor issue didn't spoil our stay

  • "Very comfortable cottage with plenty of space in the main bedroom and the living area."

Kitchen well-appointed and the outside spaces are pretty, though small. The area is very good for walking and most places are very dog-friendly, you can generally eat in, in the bar in pubs etc.

  • "Arrived to find a welcoming property that was very clean, light and airy."

The accommodation was very comfortable and provided an excellent base as I was undertaking a course nearby for a few days and then spending some time rediscovering the local area - the absolutely delightful Wensleydale. Its location was superb for such exploration including local walks from West Witton as well as places only a short drive away. It was great that the cottage had off-street parking. It was situated in a quiet cul-de-sac but with easy access to the main road along the Dale. I had one question of the owner who was very friendly and helpful when contacted. For anyone with bikes or equipment there's a garage for this, although I didn't require this on this occasion. I would definitely stop there again.

  • "A lovely cottage in a good location."

The cottage had everything you needed for your stay. I would be happy to revisit. A smaller casserole dish would be nice when you are only cooking for two people. A larger mat that did not move inside the front door would help to keep the area cleaner.

  • "The cleanest and freshest cottage we have stayed in."

Nicely situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just off the main road. Rear patio area is a completely private sun trap. Only three to four minutes walk to both the village pubs. Well located for travelling around Wensleydale and further afield. The attractive town of Leyburn, with its extensive amenities is only four miles distant.

We would also recommend West Witton as a location - did several lovely walks from the front door and the village shop is good with friendly and helpful owners. The local bus service can take you up and down the dale.

  • "Excellent little cottage with all required amenities in place for a comfortable stay."

The welcome pack is nicely compiled, packed with all necessary and useful information. Location of the cottage is great, ideal for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire! Couple of suggestions for the information pack - 1. Include opening hours of the village convenience store 2. Mention that the Thursday Chippy van stops in from of the pub

Covid 19 instructions for leaving clear but could not find the bags too place linen in but this is only a minor issue and we are all still adjusting to the Covid requirements. Overall the cottage was great, position for accessing walks locally was brilliant, village of West Witton very nice and a good pint served in the Fox and Hounds.
