  • "My daughter and I stayed at Kitten Cottage for a long weekend."

It was exactly as shown in the photos and was an excellent base to explore the Yorkshire Dales. The kitchen equipment provided enabled us to cook which we found useful and saved money on eating out. We had some concerns prior to arrival that the heating would be adequate but our fears were unfounded and the cottage was lovely and cosy. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend it.

  • "The cottage was well appointed but we were unhappy at the size of the seating area and especially at the arrangement of the beds which we found both cramped and uncomfortable."

Also the shower was unsuitable for us. The traffic noise was intrusive especially in the early morning and we think this should be mentioned. The cottage is best suited to younger people and we think this should be highlighted in the description.

  • "It was everything I needed and more."

The property had been converted in to a two bed house using the space available incredibly well. I took a load of stuff I didn't need as the owners provided everything. The bed was so soft and I slept amazingly. The location was fantastic, there was a lovely walk up the hill behind the cottage, and a short drive from York as well. I did use many of the village facilities as I was taking the chance for a lovely, restful and quiet break. I would definitely stay again. I had a fantastic time, thank you

  • "Spent 4 nights at this small cottage, and thoroughly enjoyed the stay."

Warm and comfortable with everything you need, local village shop has provisions and we used for bread, milk etc. On arrival the cottage was spotless, with a welcome basket and plenty of cleaning materials (Covid Ready). Beds were comfortable and Warm. Two local pubs do food and we ate at both of them. Lots of walks around the area and a visit to Aysgarth Falls is a must visit. Maybe Called Kitten cottage, but certainly has a big cat attitude and style - will certainly use the cottage again if in the area.

  • "The cottage was compact but spotless and had everything that we needed for a short break."

The area is beautiful and we had some lovely walks with amazing views. The tea shop next to the cottage was no longer open.
