Our charismatic, dog friendly, family holiday home is ideally situated above the historic fell land of County Durham; where you can explore the imprinted marks of mining history throughout the ages.

This ideal location boasts a wealth of areas to discover for families, dog walkers, cyclists and couples of all ages.

Merlin House is in the perfect setting to escape hectic lives and unwind whilst digesting the beauty of Teasdale.

Nestled within the village of Cockfield in the picturesque county of Durham is this well-presented, mid-terrace cottage, Merlin House.

This elegant accommodation is perfectly positioned for a couple or a family holiday to an area steeped in historical landmarks, rolling dales and a dramatic coastline.

This pretty village can be found resting on the edge of Teesdale, in County Durham. Within the small village you will be delighted to find a couple of shops, a butchers, a pub and a selection of takeaways. Within close reach to the village is the spectacular Raby Castle, where you can explore its treasures and tapestries, as well as the scenic deer park. Also close by is the market town of Barnard Castle, where you will find further amenities and attractions including Bowes Museum, Egglestone Abbey and the ruins of the medieval castle. A short drive will bring you to the town of Bishop Auckland and slightly further afield is the superb city of Durham, where you can spend time discovering its Romanesque Durham Cathedral and Norman Durham Castle.
