The property

A charming upside down cottage making the most of the views located on the outskirts of the small market town of Crook.

Perfect for couples, friends, or families. Wander inside, into the warm hallway which will take you through to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom both complete with a TV/DVD and pretty and neutral accessories with far reaching views of the fields promising a peaceful nights sleep by all. Ground floor bathroom complete with excellent features, including a classic shower, so you can relax and unwind. Up the stairs, an open plan sitting room makes a spacious place to cosy up and watch TV, underneath the velux windows. Located a couple of miles north of the River Wear, Crook lies approximately 9 miles south-west of the historic city of Durham, and 5 miles north-west of Bishop Auckland. The centre of Crook, a designated conservation area, features a selection of shops and businesses with a market held on Tuesdays. On top of the hills to the east sits Crook Golf Club, its challenging 18 hole course boasting wonderful views over the local countryside. Crook also features a range of pubs, cafes and restaurants to explore at your own leisure, as well as a backdrop of traditional and modern buildings. Annual events including Crook Carnival, Crook Community Christmas Event and the Crookfest music festival. Further afield, Bishop Auckland showcases many notable landmarks, including a town hall, and castle, worthy of a visit. The popular live-action open air night show is also worth attending nearby in Bishop Auckland, this runs from July to September.
