  • "We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay."

Hunton is a lovely village and it is not far from Leyburn which has some lovely shops. We often eat in as we have a dog and we can both have a drink so a vegetable peeler and garlic press would be a good addition. All other cutlery, pots and pans are excellent. Would stay here again.

Immaculately clean and well furnished and spacious. Great place for dogs to stay too. Great location for exploring the Dales and very welcoming pub next door . Thoroughly recommended.

  • "We had a lovely stay at 1 Meeting Hall."

The house was nice and warm and in the lovely village of Hunton. The local pub was great and the locals were very friendly. We must say a big thank you to the owner for letting us stay so last minute.

  • "This was our third stay delayed by a year due to covid to celebrate our sons 3oth birthday."

Hes autistic but remembered everything and the routines there he enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and snuggling under the blankets in the lounge watching tv. We found tbe beds comfy only one a few criticisms the lobby has a gap at the bottom of the door and a taped up cat flap in the front door which makes the lounge cold what about a door stop..we used a towel. Well equipped but could do with a long handle dust pan and brush. Cooker...numbers and settings worn off. Sower and toilet need updating.Noted there was a new table and chairs since we last came. LOvely setting but somehow while parked someone managed to bump into our car rear and cracked the number plate though they did leave a note with offer to pay for this. The irony is the logs and kegs made it hard to maneouvre in so for this to happen and us be the only ones in the car park is bizaire. Still we will be back a fourth time our son loves this place and has no speech but his smiles said it all. We feel very at home there our son will only settle in certain places. We also appreciated going in a couple of hours earlier. its my sons birthday on 1st dec so hoping to book that week next yr! kind regards kwrry Evans

Accommodation was spotlessly clean. Communication was instant, location was perfect, each day ended with a trip next door to the pub where we were greated with very friendly staff and locals.

  • "Lovely cottage."

A pleasure to stay. First time taking the dog away with us and was a great success. He had a great time too. WiFi a little spotty at times which children moaned about (not sure that was a bad thing!).

  • "The only downside was the courtyard which isn’t accessible directly from inside the property so that our dog couldn’t just wander in and out."

Also it is in very close proximity to the door of the pub so no privacy at all. The courtyard would benefit from being Astroturfed for comfort rather than gravelled. Lovely cottage though

  • "The cottage was as described, we were very comfortable."

Kitchen was very well equipped, very good standard frypans, good selection of saucepans, crockery and cutlery. All amenities, dishwasher, washing machine, etc., Nice touch leaving bread, milk & fresh eggs, very enjoyable. Visited the pub next door, very friendly people everywhere, very social. This is the first time we have visited a pub in at least a year/ year and a half. Cottage is close to so many places, we visited Richmond and Durham. We had a problem with the taps and water but they were resolved quite quickly. Would go there again.

She contacted us before arriving and was on hand during our visit. Fortunately we only had a minor query re the heating which she responded to immediately. Thank you Tina. Cottage was well equipped and comfortable. A lovely gesture having bread, eggs and milk on arrival.

  • "I was happy with covid changes and the owner was nice and helpful on the phone."

I feel that the fact you have to drive through a narrow archway to get to the cottage should have been put in the details. The courtyard garden wasn't at all private facing the pub doorway into carpark so we never wanted to use it. The double bed also felt unstable.

  • "The cottage while a traditional stone building was decorated to a high standard inside and modern and cosy."

The well stocked kitchen had absolutely everything you might need from a cafetiere to sharp knives. The cottage was extremely clean and fresh. The village was pretty and very quiet, perfect for total relaxation. We had a slight problem with the hot water which Tina our host rectified immediately and then checked up with us later that all was well. I have already recommended the property to friends.
