  • "An absolutely stunning holiday park with lodges to match."

The lodge is finished to the highest standards with everything that you need. The hot tub was attended to twice daily so always clean and ready to use. The park has had some new wodden swings and also has football nets and a badminton net. All surrounded by woods which the kids loved exploring. All the staff were friendly and go out of their way to help. Local advice on where to visit and where to park helped us plan our days without fuss. Could not recommend Kiplin lodges high enough. A special place to make great family memories.

  • "The property was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful."

The only issue we had was with Sykes cottages, as we booked through them said that we had two dogs in the booking, but they seemed to not take payment for them or tell the property owners. So we then had to pay Sykes after we got there, for their mistake. Our other property booking with dog was ok.

  • "The cabin was spacious and warm and ideal for the family, the grandchildren were never out of the hot tub."

The site was well set out with no noisy neighbors, it was also situated close to Richmond were we visited the market, castle, railway station and loads of cafes.

  • "It was an awesome stay at Sykes cottages."

The environment is beautiful, quiet and the hot tub topped it all my kids loved it. Everything else was good within the cabin apart from toilet brushes, they were not clean on our arrival, and the sofas I think they have seen their better days but we lounged on them still All in all we loved it and if we have to stay cation, that will be our destination

  • "The lodge was very nice but could have done with a more thorough clean as there was dirty coffee cups and cutlery in the cupboards on our arrival."

There was also a dirty grill tray in the oven and a greasy oven tray in the cupboard. We had a very nice relaxing stay and met Paul who was very friendly and polite.

Plenty of space between lodges, which are well kitted out. Alison the Site Manager is very friendly and helpful. Our hot tub was spotlessly clean and well-maintained.

We've been to Kiplin a couple of times before but this time was even better. The hot tub was great to relax in, despite the cold wind and rain and the lodge was warm and cosy. Will be back in the future!

  • "The lodge was a really good size, bright and clean."

There is plenty of room in the bedrooms and more than enough hanging space and drawers. Set in a large field surrounded by trees, it was very tranquil. The hot tub is amazing. There is no internet at the moment which meant I had to read a book for the first time in a long time! Overall a lovely place. I would highly recommend.

Verge of and children friendly. No Wi-Fi which we loved as it was great to get a media detox which was a bonus. Lots of card to games and dominoes a long with the hot tub made us feel like we had been away for a month not a week. Farmers arms pub close by in scroton was a great for our teens to have a meal and Wi-Fi access for free for a hour or so. Loved so much we have booked again for May. The owner George and Yvonne are great host and the offer if more towel , tea towels and loo roll half way through our stay was welcome and something we've not experienced before.

About the location

Scorton 2.25 miles; Richmond 8 miles; Northallerton 8 miles.

Kiplin is a small hamlet in North Yorkshire, just 2.25 miles from Scorton where you can find a convenience store and pubs and 8 miles from Richmond where cobbled streets and narrow alleys or 'wynds' enshrine over nine centuries of busy history and unique character. Within the town, narrow streets and alleys radiate from the cobbled Market Place (which has a weekly market and monthly farmers’ market) and there are numerous shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. West of Richmond is All Creatures Great and Small Country, plus the county town of Northallerton is also close by and boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when both sides of the High Street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce, and on the fourth Wednesday of the month the market is joined by a farmers' market. This is a wonderful holiday area, with so much to see and do.
