  • "Just home from a lovely, relaxing 3 night stay at the Middlesex Lodge at Kiplin Lodge Park."

The lodge is clean, spacious and modern. The lovely kitchen was fabulous for cooking and the hot tub just made it ! The estates manager Will was so friendly and helpful, advising us of nearby attractions and walks. Everything about the stay was perfect... a beautiful location to unwind and spend time as a family. Our two teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the break too ! There are some lovely places to visit nearby and Kiplin park is a great base. We would definitely return.

  • "Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working when we arrived which was a big part of why we booked this lodge."

The owners chose not to share this with us prior to our holiday starting. It was dealt with poorly on site and put an edge to our first days. After various disagreements they refunded us £100. The lodge itself was lovely, warm and comfortable. A few small issues on cleanliness. We would probably not recommend this site due to our experience.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you weren't able to use the hot tub. There was a problem with it during the previous booking. The issue has now been fixed. We were unable to get an engineer in before your stay due to the Christmas and New Year period and their work commitments We did give you compensation directly for the hot tub not working in line with guidance and there was an alternative lodge that became available part way through your stay that was offered to you. Thank you for your comments about the comfort and warmth of the lodge. The property always scores very well for cleanliness and were surprised to see you had issues with this as we pride ourselves on the property standards. If we had been made aware during the trip, we would have helped with this as we are always on hand to help with anything that Customers ask us. Once again, thank you for your feedback Property Owner

  • "Lovely lodge park and great cabin."

Staff were around and friendly but not too in your face. We loved the tranquil setting and used it as a base for days out. Hot tub was a real plus. Only downside was odour (assume from the septic tank) in the main bathroom in the mornings, but leaving a window open soon dispersed the smell. Would recommend a stay here.

We have especially enjoyed the jacuzzi . Which is very clean and maintained every day. Would definitely come back. It was a great, restful holiday.

  • "Great relaxing site and generally lodge well laid out and equipt Only small criticism is that things were being to look a little tied and dated."

Some of the cooking pans could do with replacing and could do with a bit of decorating. Having said that the lodge provided an excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Countryside, and the staff were both courteous and helpful

  • "Middlesex lodge is great !"

There’s plenty of room for all the family and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher but no washing machine so hand wash detergent worth bringing! x2 bathrooms makes it easier to all get ready to go out for the day! The location is fantastic as long as you have a car ! Most attractions within 1hr away! My only slight niggles The lodge was clean throughout apart from the dish drying rack and around the sink area had food stains so spent a bit of time cleaning around when 1st arrived! There’s no wi-fi or 3G on three anyway! So we bought a dongle which solved the issue ! Not the end of the world but worth a mention as without the dongle we couldn’t make or receive calls or access internet! The lodge would benefit with having A/C as when the weather is warm we had all the windows and doors open but noticed hundreds of flies coming in ! Worth bringing a bbq with you the decked area is great! Just speak to mick the warden on safety b4 lighting up! All round we had a brilliant time would thoroughly recommend

  • "We couldn’t fault the lodge in any way, arrived and it was spotless!"

Beds were exceptionally comfy and the lodge was very warm and cosy. The hot Tub was clean and just the right temperature. All the facilities were superb we had everything we needed. I spoke to Meg a couple of times regarding the lodge and she was lovely, very polite and helped us every time. I will defiantly reccomend this lodge to family and friends and will return in the future. Outstanding!

About the location

KIPLIN

Scorton 2.25 miles; Richmond 8 miles; Northallerton 8 miles.

Kiplin is a small hamlet in North Yorkshire, just 2.25 miles from Scorton where you can find a convenience store and pubs and 8 miles from Richmond where cobbled streets and narrow alleys or 'wynds' enshrine over nine centuries of busy history and unique character. Within the town, narrow streets and alleys radiate from the cobbled Market Place (which has a weekly market and monthly farmers’ market) and there are numerous shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. West of Richmond is All Creatures Great and Small Country, plus the county town of Northallerton is also close by and boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when both sides of the High Street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce, and on the fourth Wednesday of the month the market is joined by a farmers' market. This is a wonderful holiday area, with so much to see and do.
