Within the town, narrow streets and alleys radiate from the cobbled Market Place (which has a weekly market and monthly farmers’ market) and there are numerous shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. West of Richmond is All Creatures Great and Small Country, plus the county town of Northallerton is also close by and boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when both sides of the High Street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce, and on the fourth Wednesday of the month the market is joined by a farmers' market.
