One week wasn’t enough. The cabin has everything you need and more, brilliant location. Hot tub was great. Clean and tidy and all staff nice and welcoming

  • "Great place, location and lovely lodges."

Full of flies whilst in the hot tub so take your spray. The lodge would be even better with air con inside as it was boiling. Few downsides, the table wasn't cleaned outside and there was still ash in the ashtray from previous people. Only 2 toilet rolls available for a 5 night stay which was surprising. Power went off for hours and we weren't offered anything nor did they check everything was back on for us afterwards. Don't assume there will be the standard tea / coffee or cooking spray / foil etc there isn't. Basing this on the previous places we have stayed. Hot tub cleaned daily which was great. Would recommend overall.

Beautiful lodge just been refurbished prior to us arriving would definitely go again hopefully in nice weather even though that didn't affect our little relaxing break 5*

  • "The reason you got a 6 was because I was not impressed with your company over lockdown, very difficult to get to speak to as you removed the phone number and took a while to respond to email."

We really enjoyed our holiday but the lodge itself is desperate for a refurbished, the shower kept blocking, and cobwebs everywhere.

Lovely touch leaving a gift for the dog! We would love to return for a visit. It's a very private site and the hot tub was fantastic.

  • "Quiet site to relax in."

Lodge was just the right size. Jacuzzi was great but developed a fault which stopped it working, but site operators were going to lol at it straight away as we left. Pub and shops were a bit too far away for us to walk to, but overall great place to relax in.

Signal is really bad out there and within the money you pay for the lodge I would of expected WiFi. Other than that was brill.

  • "Very comfortable lodge, great hot tub which we all enjoyed."

Safe outside area for kids and dogs to play and a woodland walk. Well situated for walking and not too far from Catterick village and Richmond (8 miles). Very quiet site, well supported by on site manager, very friendly and helpful, many thanks Mick. Large kitchen and sitting area. Only downside the carpets in the bedrooms were a bit dirty, but being light coloured not surprising, some of the cushions and décor had seen better days aswell, but nothing worth complaining about, so just comments. No on site facilities as such just the lodges, may change as the site develops. We had a great weekend and would recommend this site, indeed I already have to someone at work. Many thanks

Very spacious, light, well equity and a lovely quiet location perfectly positioned for sightseeing. George was there to greet us and was always available for a friendly chat. We took our dog,no problem and there was a lovely walk through the woods in the grounds. We would recommend this to our friends and would be happy to return.

  • "Very disappointed."

Lodge was tatty and tired. The shower didn’t work properly, the tv in the bedroom didn’t work, the volume on the tv in the front room didn’t work, there were cracks in all of the walls, generally unclean with cobwebs, pet hair, dirt and the odd fly. The front balcony door didn’t open We actually left a day early as it was not the most pleasant place to be At £362 for a long weekend I really do feel ripped off. Thanks joe

About the location

Scorton 2.25 miles; Richmond 8 miles; Northallerton 8 miles.

Kiplin is a small hamlet in North Yorkshire, just 2.25 miles from Scorton where you can find a convenience store and pubs and 8 miles from Richmond where cobbled streets and narrow alleys or 'wynds' enshrine over nine centuries of busy history and unique character. Within the town, narrow streets and alleys radiate from the cobbled Market Place (which has a weekly market and monthly farmers’ market) and there are numerous shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. West of Richmond is All Creatures Great and Small Country, plus the county town of Northallerton is also close by and boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when both sides of the High Street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce, and on the fourth Wednesday of the month the market is joined by a farmers' market. This is a wonderful holiday area, with so much to see and do.
