  • "A lovely clean cottage."

Really well stocked everything we needed was there. Lovely base for our stay in the area. Not as dog friendly as we thought it would be I didn't feel the garden was enclosed so had to keep dogs on leads all the time

  • "Wonderful property with plenty of room for the family to spread out."

Christmas was a breeze with the kids enjoying the play room and grandparents enjoying the living room. Beds were very comfortable and everything was extremely clean. Owners were very responsive when we messaged with any questions. We wouldn't hesitate to book Woodstock lodge again.

  • "Just got home from the most amazing 3 nights break."

The 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children under 4) absolutely loved it. If your looking for a family friendly escape that provided everything you need and more then this is the place for you. So much to do locally but also perfect if you just want a couple of days relaxing and doing very little. We will definitely be returning. Thank you again.

Plenty of room for 3 families to spread out. The light in the twin room doesn’t work and a grill pan would have made our breakfasts all the better.

  • "Fantastic communication from the owners."

I made a mistake with the delivery time of our shopping and they messaged me to say they had finished cleaning early. This was such a huge help. The place was very spacious and immaculately clean. There were 6 adults staying and at no point did we feel over crowded. The huge laundry room is as such a bonus to store suitcases, golf clubs etc. The games room is fantastic, we called it the football/sports room. All football watching was banned in to that room so we had peace. Lots of secure car parking. Great place to stay to explore the area. It was such a great position to get to Durham, Sunderland , Whitby and the seaside resorts.

Very Cozy & Comfortable with plenty of original character but also modern. The Games room was the cherry on the cake for the kids & adults.. Stayed in many cottages but this is a must & would highly recommend.
