  • "Beautiful lodge, lovely furnishings and very comfortable beds."

Setting is peaceful making for a very relaxing tranquil break away from the cares and worries of the present times.

  • "Very well maintained lodge with all the facilities you could want."

Park very well kept and cared for. Very peaceful and quiet location, but only a short car journey to local villages. Excellent.

  • "The lodge itself was beautiful and situated right at the top of the park."

It was well equipped with everything you could need. There was no phone signal which wasn't an issue for us but there was WiFi so that was a bonus. We couldn't watch the TV as the signal was bad and there was hardly any channels. We did look for another remote to try and retune it but there wasn't one. The remote that was available just had general settings. The cleanliness was a bit of an issue especially in the bathrooms. There were cobwebs in the corners and thick dust on the roller blind in the ensuite and the top of the toilet cystern was full of dust. There was also cobwebs from the wall lights in the lounge. We were quite reluctant to use the hot tub as the water wasn't very clear/clean. We couldnt smell any chemicals to suggest they had been used and obviously didn't know when the water was last changed. With all that said, like I stated previously, 8 Sunset Lodge is a beautiful lodge and the owners have thought of everything. Just a shame it wasn't a bit cleaner.

  • "We enjoyed mostly the surrounding views and peacefulness."

Our son enjoys the hot tub however couldn't go in it for the whole week as noone checked the levels as expected, experienced with every other hot tub we have used. The water became horrible and didn't look very hygienic. The office was closed to collect the keys so had to call the mobile from the confirmation email. This seems to be an ongoing thing reading the reviews. The Tv had literally a couple of channels which we wernt happy about as we wanted to settle down of an evening and watch our regular programmes after exploring on days out. Apart from the mentioned we enjoyed our stay.

  • "Whilst Sunset Lodge was very comfortable and very well equipped, we did have a few hiccups."

Firstly, on arrival, we had been directed to reception to collect the key, but they were less than helpful. We had to contact the owner to get the key safe number. The instruction to contact them should really have been supplied in the communication from yourselves prior to the holiday. Secondly, the Wi-fi key supplied by the owner was completely incorrect. We did however manage to find the correct key on the bottom of the router. TV reception was poor for some channels but all in all we had a great break and would certainly return. The neighbours on site were extremely friendly, as were the wildlife!

  • "We have just had a fabulous holiday with two teenagers and two adults at the lodge with amazing weather."

Loads to do in the local area, short distance into Richmond ten minutes and approximately half hour journey for places to visit across beautiful countryside. Lovely quiet lodge it was really relaxing, saw a deer from the back of the lodge and amazing views from the hot tub. Lodge had everything we needed, spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, and lovely cosy feel to the lodge. Hosts were available for queries and were super helpful. Staff on site and people on site were very friendly with recommendations to visit or any questions. Really enjoyed our stay, hope to go back soon.
