  • "The property was more than we expected."

We wished we had more time to stay there. It was quiet and the view from the house was funderful. The owner was very friendly. My husband had a health issue and the owner was in a split second by us. We are very thankful for his help. This is a place where we will come back.

Central for Richmond, Tan Hill, Leyburn, Aysgarth and Hardraw falls. Wine and chocolates from Jayne who is lovely and for whom nothing would have been too much trouble!.

  • "Traditional cottage in a fantastic location, ideal set up for us."

Surrounded by sheep, cows, buzzards and curlews a perfect place to escape from it all. Jayne and Molly are lovely and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. We shall be returning again soon hopefully!

  • "This is a wonderful cottage."

To call such a spacious place with so much history a 'cottage' is not to be fair. This is a proper ex-farmhouse with all the sense of history which it holds. If you like a truly get-away-from-it-all experience with no frills attached, this might well suit you. It did for us.

Very well equipped and owner very helpful. Close to Leyburn and Richmond. The only neighbours you have are the sheep. On clear nights the night sky was fantastic. Would recommend.

  • "It was perfect for a holiday with two four year olds and a toddler."

It was roomy and safe. A gate was provided for the stairs. The living kitchen was great for family meals. There was a wonderfully safe garden with fantastic views and as the cottage is on a farm, there were animals to see. The utiltity room was very useful for storing all the coats and shoes after being out and about. The bedrooms were warm, adequately furnished with super views. The bathroom was always warm. The owner was delightful and very chatty and friendly. The holiday was a complete success and I would say that the cottage was key in making it so. Thank you Jayne.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break at Sunnyside Cottages."

The owner Jayne had kindly decorated the house with Christmas trees and decorations,we also really appreciated the kind welcome gift of chocolates and wine. The house was very clean and comfortable and a great get away from the business of Xmas. It is well located with nearby walks and places of interest. Jayne was incredibly friendly and welcoming and made us feel very much at home. We would recommend this property to others. (Despite the online description stating there was no wifi ,this has now been installed, although we were happy to escape from technology).
