This Grade II listed castle was built in the 17th century and is part of the English Heritage.

Internally, the property has been newly renovated into a stunning and contemporary holiday home for two people.

The galley kitchen is ideally located, adjacent to the living room, with a fitted set of grey units and sleek worktops, with all the appliances you could possibly need.

The ancient market town of Stanhope lies in the beautiful Wear Valley in the heart of superb walking country. Described as the "Capital of Weardale", it occupies a sheltered position on the north side of the Wear at the confluence of the river and the Stanhope burn.
