"Fabulous property and location, but can be quite noisy with bus stop outside and other persons in apartment above"
Super clean, very comfortable and decorated to a very high standard. Couldn't be more impressed and definitely looking forward to coming back. Thank you especially for accommodating our request to change dates due to Storm Eunice. The service provided by Sykes staff was outstanding. Thank you also for the Prosecco and welcome pack.
"The apartments were beautifully converted with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout."
Everywhere was very clean, although some items were dusty such as the dining table and top of drawers. Lots of bulbs weren't working when we arrived but the owners responded and changed them all promptly. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and we found it to be great value for money. Our main deterring factor was the noise from the road and people passing outside, combined with the noise from other guests using the communal front door and communal stairway.
"Stanhope is such a great base for exploring this beautiful area the accommodation was the icing on the cake!"
"This was a return visit to the Queen's Apartments for us, having stayed in Queen Victoria last year."
We returned as we had been so impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the apartment and we were not disappointed. This year we stayed in Queen Anne and were equally impressed. Thank you to all concerned.
"Very good accommodation plenty of space."
Stanhope is a very nice place with lots to do in the surrounding area.
"The apartment was lovely and had plenty of room for 6 adults."
Stanhope is a nice village with plenty of amenities including good pubs, shops and a fish and chip shop.
"The property was larger than expected and had high quality, comfortable furnishings and equipment."
The photos on the website did not do it justice. We had chosn this particular apartment as one of our party is a wheelchair user and both bathrooms were on the ground floor, sadly she was unable to access either shower as there were no safety handles. Adding safety handles would make this apartment would make the shower accessible to those with mobility problems. There was plenty of space in the apartment for both the wheelchair and her walker. The bed linen and towels were of lovely quality and the upper bedrooms spacious with plent of storage, all three beds were extremely comfortable. The only downside was we had some very heavy footed guests in the apartment above us for the last few days of our stay - their thudding footsteps could be heard even by the partially deaf member of our group.
"Have booked another apartment in this building."
Beautifully finished spotlessly clean and comfortable. Fairly quiet location. central for all local amenities. Parking can be limited but always somewhere close by. Could not fault anything whilst staying there. Thank you for such enjoyable and comfortable accommodation.
"So much thought has gone into this apartment that you have absolutely everything you could possibly need to hand."
The standard of both the apartment and the cleanliness were fantastic making us feel safe to use in the current climate. Loved it!
"The Queen Anne suite exceeded our expectations beautifully furnished and equipped."
Weather was mixed but had several walks, both short and long along the river from Stanhope. Derwent Reservoir and the picturesque village of Blanchland, about 20 minutes drive away, were well worth the visit. When the weather got the better of us we were happy to relax with a book or watch Netflix in our comfortable apartment.
"Throughly enjoyed the holiday both in the apartment and the area,"
"Accomodation absolutely splendid ."
Modern, spotlessly clean with all facilities to a high standard. The welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates were a nice touch. Stanhope itself was charming and self contained.

We lost a holiday with Thomas Cook so decided to just go somewhere not far away for a weekend, wow we didnt expect the apartment to be that nice, cleanliness of the apartments was 10/10 not a thing out of place, would definately be back and recommend
"Accommodation was spotlessly clean and furnishings were excellent quality."
Everything required was provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will definitely return in the future. Would recommend to family and friends.
"Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable."
Two minute walk from shops and bars, however not many places to eat. Would definitely recommend to others.
"Great apartment which was furnished to a very high standard."

"We stayed in the Queen Anne suite with our two children aged 3 and 7 months old."
The apartment is fantastic. Beautifully decorated, furnished and all the facilities we required. It was spotless clean. The flowers and wine on arrival are a lovely touch especially after a 7 hour journey. We visited family in Stanhope. Stanhope is beautiful very picturesque and lovely walks to go on and a few little shops. We are planning to book again for the summer as it was just perfect.
"Just spent a week with my husband in this beautiful apartment and will definitely book again."
Apartment was very clean with every comfort catered for and in a good central location. Highly recommended.
"Our extended family were also in the Queen Elizabeth apartment and we were extremely comfortable."
We saw in the New Year, walked, laughed, ate and drank. The menfolk enjoyed a few nights in the "the Hen" and "the Pack".........didn't get as far as "the ox". Would recommend and would like to return one day.

We loved our weekend in this very well presented to high spec comfort wanted for nothing will be back for another stay soon
"The apartment was great, the only thing that i would of liked is a top sheet, as it was too hot with the duvet on but was too cold without it."
apart from that it was perfect.. would stay again.
