  • "Beautiful property in a stunning area."

Our only issues were the beds were uncomfortable leading to poor sleep, the kitchen could do with more plates, glasses and cleaning materials and the towels were unusually small. Other than that the house is warm, very quiet and stylish. Movies on an evening were great as the TV is huge, kids loved the reading nook. All adults and children had a great stay overall. This would have been an amazing stay if it weren’t for the above mentioned.

Apartment was very clean very tidy top quality furniture everything you need for a home away from home, Only problem was and I must point out that this had no bearing on the property or the owners, we did have a power cut for 12hrs hence the 4 stars but the owners did give me a small refund, If In the future I’m looking for properties in this area I would definitely take this property into consideration

Absolutely beautiful property very peaceful lovely little village apartment has everything that you need when we arrived there we thought there might have been some kind of welcoming pack and the en-suite toilet was smelling awful for days and took ages to get it clean and cooker hob could bee doing with a good clean apart from that the apartment was clean everywhere else would maybe stay again

  • "Beautiful property, well decorated and furnished to a high standard."

All five of us had a lovely stay. A few small things to consider: A few more glasses i.e. prosecco glasses and would benefit from a few more pots and pans for cooking. Also, most places leave a couple of dishwasher tablets but we weren’t left any, which was by the by as we couldn’t get the dishwasher to work anyway. The double bedroom with the en suite is very small and tight around the bed, couldn’t get the bathroom door open properly as the bed was in the way. Having said this we only had one person staying in this room so wasn’t a problem for us All in all a great place and would highly recommend

  • "The host despite being back from hospital, responded to our call and arranged for some pans and a extra set of keys, the next day morning."

The house is very neat and prestine, beds were comfortable. Within a few metres there are two convenice stores, one open a bit late. Just beware coop doesn't take returns, so buy just what you need for the duration of your stay. There are a few restaurants, takeaways and pubs. Looks like this place is a hub for villages in the vicinity. Yet you don't hear any noise inside which is a great thing. There is river which is nice for walks or runs. Within 5 minutes drive you are in Pennines with nothing but heather for miles and miles and the view is amazing. Lake District, Newcastle, are just an hour away. There is a big retail outlet village, and beamish living museum village which is a must see an hour's drive away. Overall, location wise and comfort wise and price wise, it's a very good option.

Fantastic place to stay and very well done out and great bathroom facilities very impressive Could do with a few more pans and larger frying pan as if there were 6 adults staying it would be a struggle to do a cooked breakfast otherwise it had everything you need for a short stay Lots of walks and places to visit in the area

  • "We had a lovely 4 week stay in Queen Anne."

It's a beautiful, very comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated apartment. The bedrooms are lovely with comfy beds and big wardrobes. Great kitchen - my only suggestion would be more pots & pans. Stanhope is a really nice little town with everything you need. There are lots of lovely walks from Stanhope. You won't find friendlier people anywhere! The Packhorse Inn doesn't look much from outside but you'll be welcomed by the locals into a typical little pub. Ashleigh & Rachael are always available to answer any questions promptly and help with anything. This is a very well run accomodation. My family are 6 miles away so we'll most likely stay here again. We highly recommend it!

Super clean, very comfortable and decorated to a very high standard. Couldn't be more impressed and definitely looking forward to coming back. Thank you especially for accommodating our request to change dates due to Storm Eunice. The service provided by Sykes staff was outstanding. Thank you also for the Prosecco and welcome pack.

  • "The apartments were beautifully converted with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout."

Everywhere was very clean, although some items were dusty such as the dining table and top of drawers. Lots of bulbs weren't working when we arrived but the owners responded and changed them all promptly. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and we found it to be great value for money. Our main deterring factor was the noise from the road and people passing outside, combined with the noise from other guests using the communal front door and communal stairway.

  • "The property was larger than expected and had high quality, comfortable furnishings and equipment."

The photos on the website did not do it justice. We had chosn this particular apartment as one of our party is a wheelchair user and both bathrooms were on the ground floor, sadly she was unable to access either shower as there were no safety handles. Adding safety handles would make this apartment would make the shower accessible to those with mobility problems. There was plenty of space in the apartment for both the wheelchair and her walker. The bed linen and towels were of lovely quality and the upper bedrooms spacious with plent of storage, all three beds were extremely comfortable. The only downside was we had some very heavy footed guests in the apartment above us for the last few days of our stay - their thudding footsteps could be heard even by the partially deaf member of our group.

Weather was mixed but had several walks, both short and long along the river from Stanhope. Derwent Reservoir and the picturesque village of Blanchland, about 20 minutes drive away, were well worth the visit. When the weather got the better of us we were happy to relax with a book or watch Netflix in our comfortable apartment.
