  • "We stayed in the property for around six weeks including the Christmas and New Year holiday period when we were joined by our adult family."

We really enjoyed our stay in this stylish and comfortable property and would certainly stay there again.

The Victoria Suite is a very stylish apartment in the very friendly town of Stanhope and only a short walk from the market square and all amenities.

  • "We have stayed in these beautiful apartments before and they provide luxurious facilities however, this time we found that the compartment for milk on the fridge door had been broken off and not replaced and the bottle cooler didn't work, also the pillow protectors on the bed were stained."

Hope this can be rectified for future guests! Would also like to add that the family above us were really noisy, kids running about and furniture been moved constantly until 11pm on a night. Maybe a sign could be displayed asking guests to be considerate to guests that are below. On the whole a lovely stay in a beautiful apartment

Thank you for your feedback, admittedly we have had a recurring issue with guests overloading the compartments in the fridge door and this is something that we have replaced a few times. The latest break means that we now have to find a fridge door replacement, having only just replaced the fridge with a brand new unit this year. Upon electrical inspection and a recent PAT test in September, the wine cooler is working as it should so we can only apologise for what may have been an electrical glitch during your stay. Our sincere apologies for the stains on the pillow protectors, this is unacceptable and is something that we will bring up to our cleaners. We ask that any issues are reported to us upon arrival so we have the opportunity to resolve them. In this case we would have provided new pillow protectors. We are very sorry to hear about the noise disturbances, although this is highlighted in our guest information folder and also the housekeeping notice. We also ask that noise complaints are reported to us so that they can be dealt with accordingly. We're glad that you enjoyed your stay overall and hope to welcome you back in the future. Our cook loved the kitchen but suggested a large pot for cooking and a larger frypan would be good along with an extra tea towel. We would be delighted to stay here again if we come this way.

Perhaps user guides for the washing machine & TV would be useful, although we did manage to figure it out. It would also be useful to have any recommendations for restaurants, pubs or take aways. We went to the Cross Keys in East gate & enjoyed the food we had, they do a gluten free menu.

  • "Beautiful high quality apartment right in centre of Stanhope."

Very comfortable, lovely kitchen, bathrooms etc. Great TV with Netflix. Only minor negative would be a little more crockery as they needed washing every time they were used so the dishwasher became pointless.

  • "This is a swish apartment, convenient, well-appointed and beautifully cleaned and presented."

We happened to bump into the property managers and mentioned a couple of issues: slow-draining shower, hooks needed for a kitchen towel and tea towel. They responded positively to our encouraging feedback. On paper, parking may be a problem (and may be in busier summer times) but we found a place right in the nearby side street, where the car stayed for the duration whilst we set off walking and using the bus. Marvellous.

  • "Apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable."

It was easy to park on the street nearby every day. A short walk from a CoOp and a good bakery. Little touches like Prosecco and chocolates on arrival, a selection of games and a gaming device and a DVD player in the bedroom were appreciated. As a family of 5 we use a lot of bowls and mugs, it would be helpful to have a few more than 6 of each so we don't have to put the dishwasher on quite so often, but not a big issue. Decor, towels, bed linen were all good and beds comfortable, if a bit soft. Thank you for a good break.

The apartment was easy to find & access, beautifully done (everything was so shiny!) & very spacious. This was particularly good for us on this visit as the weather on one day was shocking & we had to spend more time inside than we expected. We were a group of 4 adults, a 4 yr old & a crawling baby and there was plenty of room for us all without feeling cramped (and for us to dry our clothes after a particularly wet walk). Highly recommended.
