    “We stayed here for a week in Softly View.”

    The apartment was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the furnishings to the gardens were spot on. Its a 1 minute walk to the town centre so is so handy for takeaways and shopping. The bathroom is stunning with a shower and bath and two sinks. There is also a separate room with a jacuzzi bath in it just off the living room. It comes with all the amenities that you would need and any problems are quickly dealt with. We've enjoyed it so much we've booked to go again next year. Thanks so much for ...

For days out, be sure to venture to the medieval Raby Castle, set among 200 acres of deer park or visit Hamsterley Forest, which is home to a magnitude of scenic walks amidst endearing woodland with unique wildlife awaiting to be discovered.

If you are feeling adventurous, the city of Durham is scenic drive away and is home to a magnificent cathedral and castle, and the historical landmark of Hadrian's Wall is within driving distance.

Described as the "Capital of Weardale", it occupies a sheltered position on the north side of the Wear at the confluence of the river and the Stanhope burn.
