  • "Absolutely lovely cottage."

So homely! Extremely clean and full of everything you need for a comfy stay. It rained most of our trip but the great thing was we had games in the cottage to play, Sky Stream & plenty of space and utensils for cooking. The garden space is great. The views from upstairs of the hills and trees and wonderful. The beds were extremely comfy. I would certainly recommend your cottage to friends and family! So pet friendly, beds bowls and blankets all available in case we forgot anything. Everything is so well thought of. Amazing hosts!

The cottage was clean warm and cosy and a lovely welcome hamper on arrival was a lovely gesture. Would definitely stay again if we were visiting the area.

  • "We had a wonderful 6 night stay here."

The cottage is extremely dog friendly and the enclosed garden so beneficial. It's very well equipped, both for dogs and their servants. Great, central location for visiting nearby towns and villages, as well as attractions and places of interest. Demesne Mill picnic area- a gateway to several scenic walks, is just around the corner, so taking the car out for dog walks is not essential. Abby was very helpful and responsive to messages and we really appreciated the welcome basket of foodstuff and drinks. We would and will certainly stay here again when visiting family in the North East.

  • "What a fantastic stay we had at Pepper Cottage."

So grateful that we were given such a lovely cosy holiday home that would allow our 4 dogs. Abby was only a text away providing any advice / recommendations needed throughout our stay. The cottage was soooo well equipped and was lovely and clean. The only issue we had was a lot of places nearby were either closed or weren’t serving food as it was out of season, so if you were to go at this time of year I would suggest properly researching places to visit / eat before hand. Very ideal dog walking field situated at the end of the street, and long walks mapped out through the “AllTrails” app that literally begin when you step out of the gate. We would definitely stay here again and are glad to know we have a holiday in mind for our pooches in the future :)

Abby and Andrew are superb owners that really care about their guests and dogs. Lovely welcome pack unbelievable amount of products .Thanks Abby shame we don’t drink wine . The only thing we would change would be the dining room it is permanently set for fine dining. You can’t go in there to play games or do a puzzle read or eat a takeaway because there’s no where to put all the crockery, cuttlery and wine glasses. It’s a wasted room and impractical for a holiday home

The thoughtfulness of the host for us and our 3 dogs was superb, we had everything we needed from dog towels and toys to a nice bottle of red. I can't recommend this place enough. There are so many dogs walks in the village and in the surrounding area. The Bay Horse is a great dog friendly pub,bar staff even have dog treats.

Firstly what a cottage! Everything was very well thought out and perfect for people with dogs. Only thing we would change is the sofas in the living area. They are not very comfy and for us we spent every night in the cottage and by the end of our stay we were ready to come home to our own living area. Beautiful area with a beautiful cottage. Would 100% recommend.

High quality bedding, towels etc. In fact, the comfiest pillows we’ve ever had in a holiday let. Everything we needed was there for us. Andrew and Abbey, the owners of the cottage, left loads of complimentary food and drinks, even treat's for our little cavapoo Cody. There was even dog shampoo and towels. Plenty of walks for the dogs on the doorstep and some good pubs in the village. The property was furnished very well and the level of cleanliness was very high. The only downsides we found was the lack of dog towels (we forgot to bring any!), could have done with a few more glasses and perhaps put a small pool table in the dining room? We just found that we didn’t end up using that room because the fire, which was amazing, was in the lounge so we’d end up in there every night.
