  • "We had a great stay at Whinberry cottage."

The house was good and the location superb. We thoroughly enjoyed the walks around Oxenhope and Haworth. The nearest pub was good for drinks (we did not eat there).

  • "We found the cottage very comfortable apart from the bathroom."

We struggled to get into and out of the bathroom. This is because the door opened inwards with the sink right in front of you, the shower is behind the door, the gap between the door handle and the sink was very small you had to turn sideways and squeeze through the gap. Anyone over a size 14 or with a bit of a tummy would struggle. The solution is very simple (apart from a redesign) turn the door round so that it opens out onto the landing, this could easily be done without much expense, making more room and access easy. Apart from this our stay was very enjoyable and a wander down memory lane as my husband lived in Oxenhope as a young boy.

  • "Cottage is advertised with a patio and garden furniture which is inaccurate."

The property has no rear garden only a very small unkempt concrete yard to the rear which is not very inviting The quality of the interior is to a good standard but the bathroom although well finished is cramped. The kitchen is finished to a good standard. The bedrooms need more mirrors fixed to be near power points otherwise you can’t see to dry your hair. The bedrooms are generous in size and comfortable. The stairs are steep and open with no risers abs are of polished wood but twin handrails are fitted to make them safer to use. Although there is only parking for one vehicle directly outside the property on the roadside we had no problem being able to park directly outside. This property is not suitable for the elderly or unfurnished but with some attention to the rear yard would be great for a young family.
