  • "Superb accommodation, facilities, position."

Great space for 4 (plus 1 toddler aged 18 months and small dog). Spotlessly clean, many nice additional touches - treats for our dog, tea/coffee, lots of dishwasher tablets, milk, bread, etc etc etc !!!! The staff on site were friendly and eager to please. Hot tub & sauna were very good, beds comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed (although a tumble dryer could have been useful), each bathroom had a good size walk in shower and a 3rd toilet (on the ground floor) is good to have. Great patio area, and each bedroom had a balcony. Hamilitons cafe/restaurant on site was excellent. Great locality for walks, with so many places nearby for adult & children trips out. Already booked for another stay at one of the cottages in 4 months (just 2 of us with the dog). Only regret, is that in another year our grandchild would need a separate bedroom and this wonderful site does not have any 3 bedroom lodges. A very good and memorable family holiday.

Cobwebs in downstairs toilet and in corner near log burner floor cracking in downstairs toilet, front bedroom en-suite sink stupidly small can not even blush teeth without knocking head on mirror, towels to near toilet the en-suite too small

Thank you for your comments. Your feedback is very out of character for Keepers Cabin Customers give this property very positive feedback on a weekly basis. The heating is ground source heating and is always on at 21 degrees in the property. This can be increased 3 degrees by Customers We attended the property and the heating was on at 21 degrees. In addition, there is a wood burner with a supply of logs & the hot water was placed on boost. We have never received any complaint about central heating or hot water at this cottage before. I'm sorry that you found cobwebs in the property. We do complete a thorough clean of the property on each changeover. If any were missed, we do apologise for this Following your comments, we did have a discussion and you decided to leave the property with a pro rata refund Property Owner

  • "The cabin was superb very clean and comfortable, views looking out from the front bedroom and lounge was lovely."

Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. All the appliances was of good quality, my only suggestion would be to have use of a tumble drier to go along with the washing machine. The concertina gates may need to be changed as most dogs could get through it quite easily. Over all it was a very enjoyable holiday.

  • "The cabin was a most pleasant surprise."

The pictures did not do it justice. The only negative thing we could say was that anyone walking upstairs made a loud squeaking type sound very audible to anyone downstairs which could be a bit annoying at times. I doubt it is anything the owners can do it is simply the structure of the building. We were also not sure what the rules were about re-cycling in the area - if this information was available we somehow missed it. The whole site was pristinely clean and beautifully kept as was the cabin its-self.

The hot tub and sauna had plenty of use and we returned home very relaxed. Little touches such as bread, wine, cake were very nice. Will definitely return.

  • "I could not fault the standard of accommodation, furnishings or decor, in my opinion everything had been considered and was perfect for a relaxing break away in beautiful countryside."

Beautiful walks surround the Cabin and the Village Pub just a short walk into the Village. Breathtaking countryside, fabulous accommodation, a hot tub and a sauna, what more is there to ask for! Highly recommended.

  • "Keepers Cabin is situated in a quiet and peaceful park on the banks of the river Wharfe."

There is a great dog walk along the West Bank of the river with plenty of opportunities for throwing sticks for a keen Labrador to retrieve. The highlight of our stay was my falling off the stepping stones at Bolton Abbey. My teenage daughters were in stitches and my wife looked inappropriately smug! On the last day Pickle, our black Labrador, sat on the veranda pointedly looking through the open doors of the cabin whilst we all waited in the car. She definitely did not want to leave! Susie Stewart and her team looked after us superbly and we will definitely return!

About the location

ADDINGHAM

Bolton Abbey 3 miles; Ilkley 3 miles; Skipton 4 miles.

The historic village of Addingham nestles in the valley of the River Wharfe between Ilkley and Skipton, just 3 miles from the Dales National Park at Bolton Abbey. In the Doomsday Book, Addingham is referred to as 'Ediham', which probably meant 'Home of Edi', the Earl Edwin of Bolton Abbey. A corn mill was mentioned in 1315, near where High Mill is today, and the weir across the river is one of the oldest medieval structures in the village. Today's village is a thriving, small community with several good pubs serving fine ale and excellent food, a scattering of small shops and a delightful golf course surrounded by breathtaking countryside. Nearby Bolton Abbey is one of the region's most scenic areas and the walk along the river to the 'Strid' is a must. The Victorian Spa town of Ilkley is worth a visit, with its wide streets, world-famous Box Tree Restaurant and Bettys Tea Rooms, while Ilkley Moor is the subject of Yorkshire's unofficial anthem “On Ilkla Moor Baht at”. Grassington and Malham are within reach, plus Skipton is also close by with its ancient castle, beautiful old parish church, colourful street market, canal trips and Embsay Steam Railway.
